Heavenly Father,
We pray that You will turn us away from all our wrongs and lead us into Your righteousness.
Help us to know You more each day, to walk in reverent fear before You, and to continually bless Your holy name. May our lives bring honour and glory to You as we trust in Your promises and follow Your leading.
π"I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth." β Psalm 34:1 (KJV)
"For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else." β Isaiah 45:18 (KJV)
π *Today's Scripture Reading*
Genesis 24:1-8
King James Version
24 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.
2 And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:
3 And I will make thee swear by the Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
4 But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.
5 And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?
6 And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.
7 The Lord God of heaven, which took me from my father's house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.
8 And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.
πΏ *Reflection on Genesis 24:1β8*
Abraham's life was marked by God's faithfulness. Even in his old age, "the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things." As he sought a wife for Isaac, he did not rely on human wisdom alone but trusted completely in God's covenant and promises.
Abraham instructed his servant not to choose a wife from among the Canaanites but to seek one from his own people. This decision reminds us that our closest relationships should strengthen, not weaken, our faith in God.
The servant questioned what should happen if the woman refused to come. Abraham answered with unwavering confidence: "He shall send his angel before thee." Abraham believed that the God who had faithfully guided him throughout his life would also prepare the way for Isaac's future.
This passage teaches us to trust God's direction even when we cannot see the outcome. When we place our plans in His hands and remain obedient to His Word, He goes before us, opens doors according to His will, and provides what we need in His perfect time.

β’ God's past faithfulness gives us confidence for the future.
β’ Obedience to God's instructions brings peace and direction.
β’ God sends His angels before those who trust and follow Him.
β’ We should seek God's guidance before making important life decisions.
β’ God's promises remain sure, even when circumstances seem uncertain.
π*Prayer*
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your faithfulness throughout every season of our lives.
Teach us to trust You as Abraham did, believing that You will go before us and prepare the way according to Your perfect will. Help us to seek Your guidance in every decision and to obey You even when we cannot see the outcome.
Strengthen our faith, guard our hearts, and keep us faithful to Your Word. May our lives bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
πΏ *Thought for Today*
Faith does not require us to see the whole journey. It simply calls us to trust God who has already gone before us.

Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
π "I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth." β Psalm 34:1 (KJV)

π *Today's Scripture Reading*
Genesis 23:1-7
King James Version
23 And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah.
2 And Sarah died in Kirjatharba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.
3 And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying,
4 I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.
5 And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,
6 Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.
7 And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.
*Reflection on Genesis 23:1-7 (KJV)*
Sarah, the faithful wife of Abraham and the mother of the promised son, completed her earthly journey at the age of 127. Abraham's grief reminds us that even people of great faith experience deep sorrow. Faith in God does not remove our tears, but it gives us hope beyond them.
Although God had promised Abraham the land of Canaan, he still described himself as "a stranger and a sojourner." Rather than demanding what had been promised, he acted with humility, respect, and integrity toward the people of the land. His godly character had earned their respect, and they called him "a mighty prince among us."
This passage teaches us that God's people should live honorably before others. Our words, attitudes, and actions should reflect Christ, even in seasons of grief and loss. Abraham trusted God's promises even when he owned no land except the place where he would bury Sarah. He knew that God's promises would be fulfilled in God's perfect time.
Whatever season we are facing todayβjoy, sorrow, uncertainty, or waitingβwe can trust that God remains faithful. He is the Creator, the Sustainer, and the One who keeps every promise. Our hope rests not in our circumstances but in the Lord who never fails.
Heavenly Father, thank You for being with us through every season of life. Thank You that You understand our joys and our sorrows. Help us, like Abraham, to walk humbly, live with integrity, and trust Your promises even when we cannot yet see their fulfilment. May our lives reflect Your love so that others may see Christ in us.
Comfort those who are grieving, strengthen those who are waiting, and fill us all with the blessed hope of Your eternal kingdom. In Jesus' precious name we pray. Amen
*πΏ Thought for Today*

π Today's Scripture Reading
Genesis 22:3-7
King James Version
3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.
6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
Reflection
Isaac faithfully followed his father and noticed that something was missing for the sacrifice. He respectfully asked, "Where is the lamb for a burnt offering?" Abraham answered in faith, believing that God Himself would provide what was needed.
There are times in our lives when we, too, may feel that something is missing or wonder how God's plan will unfold. Like Abraham, we are called to trust that God already knows our needs and will provide according to His perfect will and timing. Our responsibility is to walk in faith and obedience, even when we cannot yet see the whole picture.
May we remember that God is our Provider, and He is always faithful to fulfill His promises.

Genesis 20:13-18
King James Version
13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.
14 And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.
15 And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
16 And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.
17 So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
18 For the Lord had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.

King James Version
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of S***m, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
8 Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
