What is the JCCP and why is everyone talking about it? 🤷‍♀️

But what does it actually mean?

The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) is an organisation that promotes high standards within the aesthetics industry, with a focus on:

✔ Patient safety
✔ Practitioner competence
✔ Education and training standards
✔ Professionalism and ethical practice

Whilst the JCCP is not a regulator, its educational standards are becoming increasingly influential as our industry continues to evolve.

Many of the new Ofqual Regulated Qualifications have been developed with these educational standards in mind, helping practitioners gain the knowledge and competence expected within modern aesthetics.

This is one of the reasons I've chosen to introduce Ofqual Regulated Qualifications at the academy.

What's the Difference? 🤔

Since announcing the new Ofqual Regulated Qualifications, my inbox has been full of the same question.

"What's the difference between an accredited course and an Ofqual regulated qualification?"

The truth is both have their place, and one isn't "better" than the other, it depends on your career goals. 🤷‍♀️

Accredited Training is a fantastic route for therapists looking to gain recognised professional training, develop practical skills and begin offering treatments (subject to meeting insurer requirements). It's a pathway I've proudly delivered for many years and will continue to offer at the academy. ✨️

Ofqual Regulated Qualifications are nationally regulated qualifications that follow a structured syllabus, are externally quality assured and are designed to meet recognised educational standards. They're ideal for those wanting to build long term careers and continue progressing within the industry to go alongside the legislative changes which are coming to the industry.
