It’s finally arrived!! 😍

I’m so happy to finally have my Massage Therapist of the Year 2026 – Finalist trophy in my hands! ❤️

When I first started HAZE Beauty, I never imagined I’d be building up a little collection of awards! 😂

Running a small business on your own isn’t always easy. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes, and I’m constantly learning, training and looking for ways to make HAZE even better.

So to receive recognition for something I genuinely love doing means an awful lot. 🥹

But the biggest thank you has to go to my lovely clients. Whether you’ve been coming to me for years, have only recently discovered HAZE, recommended me to a friend or taken the time to leave a review, you all play a part in making my little business what it is today. 💚

I’m incredibly proud of how far HAZE has come, and I’ve still got so many ideas and plans for the future!

🤧 WHY DOES YOUR NOSE SUDDENLY STOP WORKING DURING A MASSAGE? 😂

You arrive breathing perfectly normally…

Then 20 minutes into lying face down:

One nostril has completely given up.
The other one’s running.
And you’re wondering how you’re supposed to relax when you can barely breathe. 😂

Sound familiar?

It’s actually really common during a massage.

When you’re lying face down, gravity can increase blood flow and fluid around your face and nose. The blood vessels inside your nose can swell slightly, making everything feel much more congested.

Then there’s the relaxation effect.

As your body settles into its “rest and digest” state, your nervous system can also affect nasal secretions — so while some people get blocked up, others suddenly get a runny nose.

Basically, your body has chosen the exact moment you’re trying to switch off to make breathing unnecessarily complicated. 😂

And please don’t suffer in silence!

If you’re on my treatment bed and can’t breathe properly, tell me. We can change your head position, sit you up for a moment or grab a tissue.

I promise you won’t be the first person who’s needed one!

So next time your nose mysteriously stops cooperating halfway through your massage…

What actually happens during an MLD treatment?

If you’ve never had Manual Lymphatic Drainage before, you might be surprised by just how different it is from a traditional massage.

We start with a consultation so I can understand why you’ve booked MLD, any concerns you have and what you’d like to get from your treatment.

During the treatment, I use very light, slow and rhythmic movements to encourage the natural movement of lymphatic fluid through the body.

There’s no deep pressure, no kneading aching muscles and no massage oil.

I’ll usually begin by stimulating the main lymphatic areas before working methodically through the areas we’re treating. Your session is always tailored to you — MLD isn’t a one-size-fits-all routine.

It’s an incredibly gentle treatment, and lots of my clients are surprised by just how relaxing it is. 😴

MLD can also be adapted to focus on specific areas, including the face, neck and scalp, or offered as post-operative MLD where appropriate.

🌿 A little reminder about cancellations & no-shows

I completely understand that sometimes plans change, appointments need moving or unexpected things happen — that’s life!

As HAZE is a small, one-to-one business, every appointment is reserved exclusively for you. When an appointment is cancelled at short notice or someone doesn’t attend, I’m often unable to offer that time to somebody else.

For this reason:

• 50% deposit is required when booking
• Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule
• Cancellations within 48 hours and no-shows will result in the 50% booking fee being retained/charged

If something unexpected happens, please always get in touch with me rather than simply not attending. I will always be understanding where I can.

Thank you to the vast majority of my lovely clients who give me plenty of notice when plans change. It genuinely makes such a difference to a small business. 💚

There isn’t one “right” way to have a massage.

One of the most important things I’ve learnt through all of my massage training is that no two clients need exactly the same treatment.

Some people want firm pressure. Others need something much gentler. You might want a full-body treatment one week and need me to spend most of the appointment on your back, neck and shoulders the next.

And sometimes your body needs a little more consideration.

I’ve undertaken additional specialist training so I can adapt treatments for women experiencing menopause or fibromyalgia, during pregnancy, following cancer treatment, and for clients who may benefit from Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

That can mean changing your positioning, pressure, techniques, areas treated or simply taking things a little slower.

You don’t need to know which techniques you need before you arrive — that’s my job. 😊

We’ll have a chat, I’ll find out how you’re feeling and what you want from your treatment, and we’ll tailor your massage around you.

Because massage at HAZE isn’t one-size-fits-all. 🌿

A little microneedling appreciation post 🌿

I love seeing the changes that can happen when we give the skin a little encouragement to do what it naturally does.

Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin, stimulating the skin’s natural repair response and supporting collagen production.

It can be a great option if you’re looking to improve the appearance of fine lines, skin texture, enlarged pores or certain types of scarring.
