BAO stands for Beth’s Aromatherapy Organic skincare and Beth founded BAO.

Beth experienced very sensitive skin during treatment for Crohn’s disease.

The products Beth created are designed to be gentle, natural and uncomplicated.

I bought BAO because 1 day I ate an organic apple 🍎 It tasted amazing and that made me think, if I this is so great for my insides, I should really be thinking about my outsides and what I put on my skin.

Then I googled organic skincare Poole and BAO popped up. I became a customer and I loved the products and the ethos so much when Beth said she was selling BAO and moving to Bali, I bought the company from Beth.

The plan for BAO is to keep making and promoting natural skincare without compromising our values.

So now you know where BAO began 🥰

Have you ever eaten something which changed the course of your life?

That is just part of the story to be fair.

Beth actually experienced very sensitive skin during treatment for Crohn’s disease.

What do kombucha, Nutri Balls and natural skincare have in common?
Apparently… rounders. 😂
Back in June, H**e from Boo Cha Cha suggested we organise a game.
I hadn’t played for years, but obviously said YES.
Sam from Nutri Balls joined us, refreshments were sorted, and somehow three small businesses ended up organising a rounders match.
And it was FAB FUN.
But there is actually some logic behind it.
We all believe that the little things we do for ourselves matter.
Drink a refreshing kombucha.
Eat something nourishing.
Look after your skin.
Get outside.
Move your body.
Spend time with good people.
Laugh. A lot.
None of these things will cure all ills or solve all of life’s problems — and we’d never pretend they will.
But they can all be little steps towards feeling happier. And I’m a big believer in those. 💚
So… ROUNDERS IS BACK.

📅 Wednesday 19th August
⏰ 6pm
📍 Poole, Dorset

You don’t need to be sporty. You don’t need to be good at rounders. And it really doesn’t matter if the last time you held a rounders bat was at school.
Come and play. Who’s in? 🙋‍♀️

I am at Canford School on this Sunday - 16th August.

It is a 2 day event but I am just there on Sunday.

It is the Canford Summer Fair which is a fun day for all the family. There are over 100 stalls, food, drink, live music and kids entertainers so looks like it could be fun.

It is from 10am till 5pm. Adults - £5, under 16’s - £1.

Is any one else going?

Turns out, when you stand behind or in front of a skincare stall, you get asked a lot of questions 😂

And I love it.

What actually is organic?
Why is something called an acid going anywhere near my face?
Are those flowers real? 🌸
Do I make BAO myself?
And what on earth is a paraben?

They’re all brilliant questions — because skincare has somehow become ridiculously complicated, when it really doesn’t need to be.

So I’ve taken some of the questions I’ve been asked at recent events and given you my answers.

Because I really believe that if you’re choosing what to put on your skin, you should be able to understand what’s in it — and why it’s there.

Let me know if you have any skincare questions and I will try and give you a straight forward answer

Yes, I made the BAO hat!

Roses, chamomile, calendula, lavender, geranium… all beautiful ingredients you’ll find across BAO.

Because for me, natural skincare is about all the lovely, hardworking ingredients that are in the pot.

Ingredients chosen because they each have a job to do — to calm, nourish, soften, hydrate and generally make your skin happy.

Although admittedly, they look pretty fabulous on a hat too. 😂🌼

What you put on your skin matters.

What is your favourite skincare ingredient?

Did I learn loads and have fun at Camp Bestival? Yessss

And I will take that as a win 🏆

Am I still recovering? 😂 A bit

It was so dry, dusty, hot and sunny ☀️ I had lots of people asking me for a lip balm and I wasn’t able to help this time, but I will definitely know next time to go prepared.

I loved everything else Camp Bestival wise and love that every day is a school day in the world of natural skincare 💕

What is your number 1 festival tip?

06/08/2026

This time last week it was all to play for 🥰

I was v apprehensive going to as a Trader.

I was very unsure about how organic skincare would go down at a festival 🙈 but it ended up rocking it.

I didn’t see too much of the festival because I did spend a lot of time hanging out in the .co.uk Tent.

We honestly had a blast 🥰 Much discussion regarding the best sellers, best outfit, best lunch, trolley 🛒 gate etc.

This video is trying to show what we all thought of it.

My word for me would be learning and I Iove learning 😊

Can you think of 1 word to describe your day today ?

I’ll start with exhausting 🤣 Any more?

I had a rubbish Thursday at Camp Festival. I had worked 14 hours and only had 1 sale.

I posted my story to Instagram, and what happened next was basically just wonderful.

Everybody in the Makers Market, they rallied round, so I had loads of top tips and advice, and created me this amazing sign.

Did it improve sales? I am not sure. I find it hard to tell because I wonder what sales would have been on the rest of the weekend without the sign. It wasn’t in a test environment.

However, what it did improve massively was my heart and my head. It gave me such a super boost to think that everybody was willing me on to win, and that this super sign had been created just for me. And I loved it.

I love the sign so, so much. I actually saw Merak create the sign, and he did it with such flare, grace and ease.

Thank you .co.uk makers for letting me be part of the Makers Market and for your constant encouragement and support which is amazing 🥰

Thank you and everyone there.

Do you think a sign makes a big difference?

This is what I have learned so far at Camp Bestival

People care: I posted about my 1st day being tough and the number of suggestions and offers of toothpaste I got turned me into an emotional wreck. It was wonderful. Thank you 🙏🏼 especially little ren designs, she is incredible artist and person 🥰 Also LUCANART and South Coast Makers for being my hero’s.

A new environment quickly becomes your world, 4 days in you establish your festival routines when it comes to showers 🚿 best routes to places, best snacks etc

People love real: I want to be calm and professional but ultimately my real scatty and random self comes through. I am not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, let’s leave that to AI. I am most definitely human and will continue showing up.

It is fun to dress up: the insane effort everyone puts into their costumes at Camp Bestival is brilliant to see close up.

We are always learning, every time I speak to anyone about BAO I am learning. I know why I love BAO and the changes I have seen it make to skin is amazing but I definitely need to fine tune the way I present to customers.

Things do get better and attitude is everything. Day 1 I was questioning my life choices, Day 4 I know why I gave Camp Bestival a go.

Time is a roller coaster: One minute you think how am I going to last 5 days and the next minute, it is the last day and you thinking about pack down.

What have I missed? Loads probably

Today is our last day, we are trading in the Lower Kids Field 10-7:30 💪🏼

Let’s do this.
