As we are officially in Autumn now, I wanted to remind you that Party Season skin prep starts long before we put up the Christmas decorations… 💛

I wanted to give you all a little idea with a timeline so that you can book your treatment/s of choice in plenty of time for you festivities 🎄

Following approximate timelines like this allows for any bruising or swelling to go down, as well as allowing time for results to begin to show etc ⤵️

✨ Microneedling and peels should be at least 2 weeks before.

✨ Dermal fillers should be at least 4 weeks before.

✨ Profhilo should be 3-4 weeks before.

✨ Stylage hydroboost should be 4 weeks before.

✨ NCTF should be at least 3-4 weeks before.

✨ Collagen lifting facial should be the day before.

This is a general guideline and of course I can advise what to expect at your consultation or appointment and let’s not forget some treatments require a course for best results, too 📆

“Why don’t I share lots of before and after photos?” 📸

It’s a question I’ve been asked (very occasionally) and there isn’t a very exciting answer, sadly 😅

The simple answer is that many of my patients value their privacy; some don’t want anyone to know they’ve had anything ‘done’, some simply prefer to keep their treatments personal, and many don’t want their photos shared on social media 🤳

As a nurse, patient confidentiality and trust are incredibly important to me. While I always appreciate those who are happy to share their results, I completely respect those who choose not to 👩🏼‍⚕️

Aside from this, with prescription-only treatments, advertising watchdogs and health regulators (such as Advertising standards Authority) strictly forbid the direct or indirect advertising of prescription only medicines to the public ❎

So for me, it’s about following the strict guidelines set to me as a Nurse Practitioner as well as helping patients feel more confident in their own skin with subtle results, that often can’t be detected by anyone but the patient themselves 🔍🥰

It’s not that I don’t see amazing results in my clinic everyday, it’s that not all the great results end up on Facebook or Instagram, and that’s absolutely fine ☺️

Not all microneedling is equal ❎

I have often hear patients say they’ve had microneedling before and didn’t notice much difference 🤷🏼‍♀️

The truth is that results can depend on several factors including ⤵️

💛 The device itself
💛 The depth of the treatment
💛 Your chosen practitioner’s knowledge
💛 Your skin
💛 How many treatments you have
💛 Whether you pair it with other treatments or skincare
