Session 1
We will design the hair line and place a lighter shade of pigment over the scalp to provide a foundation for the upcoming sessions. How this settles will indicate how well the client’s skin takes the ink, and what shade we should choose next time.

Session 2
Performed 1 week after the first session, we increase the density of the impressions and place the pigment in between the spaces from session 1. We will often also use a darker shade to start to create a 3D effect.

Session 3
Performed 1-2 weeks after the 2nd session. In this session the emphasis is on the details, we will usually take it up a shade again and scatter through the previous work to give a natural tonal look to the ‘hair’.
