Running a small business is full of lessons you never really see coming.

Some are exciting. Some are humbling. And some you only learn by living through them.

From protecting your energy and accepting that not everyone is your customer, to learning that growth can be quiet and that every “no” has something to teach you- these are some of the lessons I’ve learnt along the way.

I’m still learning every day, but I wouldn’t trade the journey.

How do you really know if a perfume is right for you?

The secret isn’t in the first spray.

A fragrance is designed to evolve, revealing different facets as the hours pass. What feels bright and sparkling at first may soften into something warm, comforting or unexpectedly beautiful by the end of the day.

When you’re exploring a new scent, remember:

• Don’t judge it by the opening.
• Wear it on your skin, not just a blotter.
• Give it time to unfold.
• Avoid smelling too many fragrances in one visit.
• Choose the scent that feels like you—not necessarily the one that shouts the loudest.

It feels like the right time to introduce myself properly.

My path here has been anything but straightforward - from acting as a child and training at drama school, to living in Morocco, New York and Venice Beach, and eventually discovering the extraordinary world of perfume.

I’ve always been drawn to storytelling. Today, scent is my medium.

Nature, travel, creativity and the people I love continue to inspire everything I create, from bespoke commissions to my botanical fragrance collections.

These days you’ll usually find me running on the South Downs, walking my dogs, working with beautiful natural materials, and being mum to two wonderful teenagers.

ÉGLANTIER evokes a landscape shaped by elemental forces - where opposing currents meet and the air feels charged with quiet intensity.

Bracing and enigmatic, it draws on the Danish coastline at sunset, when the tide recedes and the shoreline glows with a soft coral warmth. A moment suspended between movement and stillness.

Bright neroli and fleur d’oranger open into tuberose, jasmine and rose, before softening into cardamom, patchouli, incense, vetiver, sandalwood and vanilla. Like waves meeting the skin, it arrives with presence, then unfolds into something deeply personal and lingering.

Five years ago, we opened a botanical perfume shop in Brighton with a simple idea: that discovering fragrance should be slow, personal and enjoyable.

Since then, we’ve shared countless conversations, scent memories and moments of connection with customers who have become friends.

Thank you to everyone who has walked through our door, trusted their nose and been part of our story.
