Wow… I genuinely cannot believe it’s been a whole year since I started working at Donna’s! 🥹 Where has the time gone?! It’s absolutely flown by, and I honestly couldn’t be happier to be working in a place surrounded by so much love, laughter and just pure, genuine happiness. ❤️

Donna, where do I even begin? You have been, and continue to be, the most amazing boss and friend I could ever ask for. 🫶🏼 You’re always there to help me whenever I need it, whether that’s sharing your knowledge, teaching me new tips and tricks in hairdressing, or encouraging me to step outside my comfort zone and tackle new challenges.

You’ve helped me grow in so many ways, not just as a hairdresser, but as a person, too. You’ve taught me the importance of slowing down, taking a breath and allowing myself to relax, both physically and mentally. Whether it’s through sound baths, Reiki, distance healing or simply having a chat, you always seem to know how to help me feel more like myself again. ✨

Thank you for everything you continue to do for me, for believing in me, encouraging me and standing beside me throughout this journey. I genuinely don't think I would have grown as much in confidence or come as far as I have without you by my side. I’m so grateful to have you not only as my boss, but as a friend, too. ❤️

And then there are my amazing colleagues! 🥰 I couldn’t ask to work alongside a better bunch of people. Whether I’m in a pickle with something in the salon or need a helping hand with something in life, you’re always there, ready to jump in and help whenever you can. Working here has brought some truly special people into my life, and I’ve made friendships that I know will last a lifetime. I feel so lucky to be part of this little family, and I can’t wait to see what the coming years have in store for us all! ❤️

I really couldn’t write this post without giving every single one of you a massive thank you. Embarking on my self-employment journey was a big step for me, and the support you’ve shown me over the past year has meant more to me than you will ever realise.
Every single appointment, every rebooking, every recommendation to your friends and family, every kind word and every bit of encouragement has helped me build something that I’m so incredibly proud of.

The fact that you continue to come back and sit in my chair, trusting me with your hair and supporting my little business, honestly means the world to me. 🫶🏼

I love the conversations we have, the laughs we share, the stories you tell me and the little catch-ups that come with every appointment. No two days are ever the same, and I genuinely look forward to seeing you all. Whether you're coming in for a little trim, a big colour change or just a good old catch-up while we get your hair looking gorgeous, I appreciate every single moment.
To me, you’re so much more than clients. You’ve become a part of my journey, and many of you feel more like family and friends than anything else. 🩷 You’ve supported me as I’ve grown, helped me build my confidence and given me the opportunity to do something I love every single day.

Looking back over this past year, I can see how much I’ve grown, not only in my hairdressing skills but in my confidence, too. There’s still so much I want to learn, so many new things I want to try and so many more amazing people I hope to welcome into my chair. I’m so excited to continue building my clientele, developing my skills and seeing where this journey takes me!
Here’s to the first year of many, more memories, more laughter, more gorgeous hair and many more years being part of such a special place. 🥂✨

A start of a journey today in the salon! We have had the previous colour done with a purple box dye, today we went over with the first lot of brown to try and tone down the purple and make it look more natural. We do have an end goal in sight but this is just the beginning of our journey! Keep following along to keep up with the transformation 💗
