A little update from me…

To help me keep on top of admin and appointments and make sure nobody gets missed, I’m making a small change to how I manage bookings and enquiries.

From now on, I’d really appreciate it if you could contact me via WhatsApp on 07703624919 for all appointment bookings, changes and enquiries. As I receive messages across text, Facebook and Instagram and email, having everything in one place will help me respond more efficiently and make sure I don’t miss anyone. If I don’t reply straight away, please be patient, I’m with a client. I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Don’t worry—my phone number is staying exactly the same, so all you need to do is send me a WhatsApp message instead of a text or Messenger message.

My booking system JENA will still send your appointment confirmations and reminders as normal.

A few heads up for your appointments…….

Heat spikes will be spiking for sure. If it’s too much for you, place your hand in the lamp for a few seconds then take it back out (slowly) no wafting your hands around please it will make a mess 😅

Gels will be RUNNY, especially builder gels. I will monitor this throughout the day to see how we’re curing if there are any issues i will contact you directly about your appointment.

Luna may be in the salon with us as it’s the coolest place for her. Expect lots of cuddles and side eyes when your hand has to go in the lamp.

Lastly, you can fully expect me to be complaining for the duration of the appointment because as we know. I am a winter girl through and through.

Just a little reminder to check in on the feet of your parents and grandparents 👣

A lot of elderly people struggle with their feet far more than they let on. Things like thick nails, hard skin, corns, or simply reaching their own feet can become really difficult, but they’ll often just “manage” instead of asking for help.

The thing is, sore feet affect so much more than people realise. Mobility, balance, confidence walking, independence…even leaving the house.

Regular foot health appointments aren’t about vanity or treating themselves, they are a primary health need that genuinely help people stay comfortable, mobile, and independent for longer.

And honestly, the relief people feel after having painful feet properly treated is huge 🖤

So if you’ve noticed your mum, dad, grandparent, or elderly neighbour struggling, this is your sign to encourage them to book an appointment.

Their feet deserve looking after too

Builder gel isn’t for everyone.

Builder gel has become a bit of a buzz word in salons over the last few years, but it isn’t a one size fits all product. If you are getting a regular builder gel (BIAB) manicure and you are finding it doesn’t last, it chips or lifts before your next appointment. It could be that you need to try an alternative. But don’t worry, there are loads!!!

I offer prescriptive services, tailored to individual needs, nail health and life style.

This client for example comes every 3/4 weeks for a hard gel overlay. Builder works ok for her, but every now and again, there would be a breakage. Hard gel is much stronger (acrylic equivalent) and is made to support long nails as more structure can be built. Now we have no more breaking ☺️
