One thing I’m really focusing on is shield selection because it can completely change the finished lift. I choose the shield based on your natural lash length, eye shape and the result we’re trying to achieve — whether that’s a softer, natural lift or something a little more dramatic. There definitely isn’t a “one size fits all” when it comes to lash lifts!

And of course… a little shoutout to JB who is ALWAYS willing to be my practice model 😂👏 Everyone give him a round of applause for taking one for the team.

Yesterday, I found out that I’ve been recognised as a Highly Recommended Winner for Best New Talent at the 2026 UK Hair & Beauty Awards. 🏆

I genuinely wasn’t expecting this, and I think that’s what makes it feel even more special. Thousands entered the awards this year, so to have my little business and the work I put into it recognised is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Building Vicky Blanc Beauty has been a journey. I’m constantly learning, pushing myself, investing in my skills and trying to create something that I can look back on and be proud of.

Sometimes when you’re so focused on what you want to achieve next, you forget to look at how far you’ve already come. This feels like one of those moments where I can actually say… I’m proud of myself. 🥹
