Hi, I’m Mary… the face behind Rakotta 🤍

I started this salon because I felt something was missing from the industry: care. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and helped to feel their best, not rushed through an appointment.

Rakotta is my answer to that. A sanctuary for slow beauty, where you can relax, unwind, and actually learn about your hair while we take care of it together.

A good cut keeps your colour looking fresh, your ends healthy, and your shape easy to live with day to day. As a general rule, I recommend coming in every 8–10 weeks. Any longer and split ends start creeping upwards, working against everything else we’re doing for your hair.

There’s something about a soft, textured bob that just feels effortless. It’s easy to style, easy to live in and easy to love. We kept the ends soft and added movement throughout so it falls naturally, no strict styling required, but we did a little textured style to juju it up.
