What’s inside a bridal makeup artist’s personal makeup bag?

Today’s look — soft, pink & glowy, but it needs to LAST. 36 degrees and I’m out until 10pm! And can we just appreciate the natural light on a train… divine.

SKIN

• Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint — lightweight, natural-looking coverage.
• Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter — on the high points for luminosity.
• Erborian Under-Eye Concealer — beautifully hydrating, especially if you have a little more movement around the eyes like me.
• Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer — extra coverage exactly where I need it.

CREAM COLOUR

• VIEVE Cream Bronzer — looks scary in the pot but it’s beautifully translucent, natural and blends like butter. Dewy, never greasy.
• Arbonne Stick Blush — creamy without too much slip, so perfect when I need longevity.

POWDERS

• Hourglass Setting Powder — if you know, you know. Takes away slip and movement WITHOUT taking away my glow. Skin still looks like skin.
• Hourglass Bronzer & Blush — soft-focus, lightweight powders layered over my creams for colour that lasts without looking heavy.
• Rare Beauty Cheer — the prettiest ballerina pink. Almost a pink highlighter, tapped onto my highest points and tip of my nose.

EYES

• Hourglass Eyeshadows — soft pinks with subtle smoke and contour.
• Hourglass Gel Eyeliner — tightlined for fuller-looking lashes without taking up my hooded lid space. It does NOT budge, even on my watery eyes!
• Hourglass Bronze Mechanical Liner — a tiny micro flick along the lash line.
• Lisa Eldridge Kitten Mascara — soft, fluttery lashes.

LIPS

• Kosas Hyaluronic Lip Liners — Mega + Infinite — pink layered with pinky brown for depth.
• Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath — Pillow Talk Fair.

No setting spray needed — careful layering does the work.

And the test? I filmed my makeup again around 9pm after a full day in 36-degree heat… still in place.

What a gorgeous wedding morning!

I had the pleasure of getting the Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom and one of the beautiful bridesmaids ready, working alongside the lovely Liv, who looked after the bride and the other two bridesmaids.

With access to the venue from 10am and everyone needing to be ready by 1pm, it was a busy few hours — but we did it! 🙌🏼

My first time working at Tyn Dŵr Hall and wow… absolutely stunning. Back in my home of North Wales, surrounded by the Welsh mountains The prep room was flooded with natural light and the staff were so organised and efficient — everything ran beautifully.

I didn’t have time to take many photos, but these are a few little moments I did capture.

And of course, I always like to stay until I hear the cheers as the newlyweds are announced. 😀There’s just something about hearing that moment at the end of a wedding morning that always makes me smile. I’d just got back to my car when I heard the cheers and managed to catch it — the perfect end to a beautiful morning.

I genuinely love what I do.

Getting to be part of someone’s wedding morning, meeting so many lovely brides and their families, and visiting some of the most beautiful venues along the way.

And when the sun is shining… even better ☀️

Some days I arrive when it’s still dark and leave to blue skies and the sound of cheering as the newlyweds come out of their ceremony. That moment always makes me smile 🥹

There’s something really special about knowing I’ve played a tiny part in such a huge day.

Even after all these years, I still feel very lucky to call this my job.
