30 years… a little insight into Denise, Salon Owner

This year marks 30 years since my journey in the beauty industry began, and it feels like the perfect time to reflect on just how far we’ve come, and to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of it.

My journey began in 1996 after having my nails done in Miami and realising just how much confidence something so simple gave me. At a time when nail salons were few and far between locally, I saw a gap in the market, privately funded my training and began my career as a mobile nail technician.

From there, things grew quickly. I opened my first salon in Manor Royal, became an educator for Creative Nail Design and opened the Sussex Training Academy in 2003, where I had the privilege of training so many nail technicians from the very beginning of their careers.

In 2015, we relocated to Pound Hill and Beautiful Nails & Body Salon evolved into what it is today; nails, beauty, wellbeing and advanced, results-driven skin treatments, delivered by our incredible team of 19 talented professionals.

Throughout those 30 years, I’ve also raised three beautiful daughters, juggling motherhood, family life and running a growing business, and somehow, here we are! ❤️

More recently, we’ve opened Beautiful Nails & Toes in Turners Hill, alongside The Coffee House with my very supportive husband Michael ! It’s become exactly what we hoped for, a family run, friendly, sociable little pampering bubble in the heart of the village, with a real sense of community.

But when I look back over the last 30 years, my biggest achievement isn’t simply how much the business has grown.

It’s the people who have grown with us.

Our wonderful team, past and present, and our incredible clients, some of whom have been with us since the very beginning. We’ve welcomed generations of families through our doors, built friendships along the way and created a salon family that I’m incredibly proud of.

So this is simply a little moment to say thank you.

To every person who has worked alongside us, and every client who has chosen us, recommended us, trusted us and continued to support us, you are the reason our journey has been possible ❤️
