Bottle Top Scheme Cancellation:
For a long time Lush have collected drinks bottle tops through our UK&I shops.

Set up several years ago, in order to offer a recycling route for a waste item that was often not recycled by local councils, our bottle top scheme also provided a feedstock material for some cool Lush ‘bottle board’ furniture.

However, as more and more local authorities begin to accept bottle tops through kerbside recycling and as we are no longer creating Lush furniture with the bottle board, we have been reassessing the scheme’s feasibility. Therefore, we have taken the decision to stop accepting bottle tops through our business, both through our shops and through any direct postal service, as of 1st April 2021.

We want to leave the world Lusher than we found it so we've launched our brand new Bring It Back recycling scheme.

We want to take even more ownership of our plastic packaging and ensure our bottles, pots and tubs are given the new life we know they could and should have! All we need our customers to do is simply return their empties to us in one of our UK&I stores - we’ll take care of the rest.
And the best part is each individual Qualifying Lush Packaging item can be exchanged for 50p towards your in-store purchase at the same time.

Bottle Top Collection Update: You’ve been busy! After a viral post about Lush's Freepost bottle top collection scheme last year, our Greenhub team has received over 10 tonnes of plastic bottles tops!
So, what’s next?, due to the volume of bottle tops received, we are no longer able to accept donations through the Royal Mail Freepost system and, as of today, these won't be accepted at your local post office. But never fear! Over 50% of UK councils now accept plastic bottle tops in home recycling. Crawley residents car recycle any lids Jam Jar lid sized and larger in their at home recycling.
If your local council isn't one of them yet, you can still bring small domestic amounts of plastic bottle tops into your nearest Lush shop to be sent on to our Greenhub team for recycling.
