Phone line had been down about 3 weeks.. they keep saying they are fixing it but I still had no hope 😢 I’m so sorry as I know how hard clients are trying to get through ❤️been on the phone for 3 hours today and they must think I’m some sort of engineer 🤪 honestly what a 1st day back 😭😂

Luke’s had a cancellation today at 3pm if anyone wants a cut and blowdry but he isnt taking on new clients # # #

I used to think being a good hairdresser meant being available every hour of the day.

It’s not…

Squeezing people in
Running late
Skipping lunch
Letting clients take the p**s with my time

All because I didn’t want to let anyone down

Meanwhile I was the one leaving work drained, behind, and a bit resentful

No one tells you this when you start…
if you don’t set boundaries, clients will set them for you

Things only changed when I stopped over giving

Set clear times
Stopped overbooking myself
Got comfortable saying “that doesn’t fit in this appointment”

And the mad thing is…
the right clients respected me more for it

My days feel calmer now
My work’s better
And I actually enjoy being behind the chair

You don’t need to be everything to everyone to make this work

If you’re feeling stretched or like you’re constantly chasing your day
