Purchasing a lash cleansing kit and cleaning your lashes regularly is very important for both the health of your eyes and the longevity of your lash extensions. Here are the key reasons you can share with clients:

1. Keeps Your Lashes Clean & Hygienic 🫧

Your lashes collect oil, makeup, dirt, and bacteria throughout the day. Without proper cleaning, this buildup can cause irritation or infections.

2. Prevents Eye Infections

Not cleaning lash extensions can lead to conditions like Blepharitis, which causes itchy, red, and swollen eyelids. A lash cleanser helps remove bacteria and keeps the lash line healthy.

3. Makes Lash Extensions Last Longer ⏳

Natural oils and makeup buildup can break down the lash adhesive, causing your extensions to fall out faster. Regular cleansing helps maintain retention so your lashes stay full for longer.

4. Prevents Lash Mites & Buildup

Tiny organisms called Demodex mites naturally live on the skin, but they multiply when lashes are not cleaned properly. Washing your lashes keeps them under control.

5. Keeps Lashes Looking Fluffy & Fresh ✨

Clean lashes look fuller, fluffier, and darker. Dirt and oils can make lashes stick together and look sparse.

Use your lash cleanser every day, especially if you wear makeup, to keep your extensions looking their best.

Making beautiful handmade lash fans takes practice, but a few techniques can make it much easier and more consistent. Here are some pro tips used by many lash artists 👁️✨

Not all lash strips fan easily.
• Look for easy-fan or pro-made fan strips if you’re still learning.
• Thinner lashes like 0.03, 0.05, or 0.07 fan much easier than thicker diameters.

The base of the fan is the most important part.

Tips:
• Keep the bases tight and closed so they sit neatly on the natural lash.
• Avoid wide or bulky bases — these can cause poor retention.
• Use minimal pressure when picking up the lashes so they don’t spread too much.

Find the one that feels most natural for you:

Pinching method
• Pick up the lashes
• Gently pinch the base with tweezers
• Dip in glue to lock the fan

On-the-strip method
• Wiggle the tweezers slightly on the strip
• Pull up slowly to create the fan

Work With the Right Tweezers

Good tweezers make a huge difference.

Look for:
• Volume tweezers
• A good sweet spot
• Slightly curved or boot tweezers

If lashes won’t fan, sometimes it’s the tweezers, not your technique.

Don’t Pick Up Too Many Lashes at First

Start small while learning.

Try:
• 2D–3D fans first
• Then move to 4D–6D once you’re comfortable

This helps you learn base control.

Too much glue will close the fan.

Tip:
• Dip just the base of the fan
• Wipe slightly on the glue dot if needed

Practice Without Glue

A great training trick:
• Sit with a lash strip
• Make 50–100 fans without glue
• Focus only on symmetry and base control

You’ll improve much faster.

💡 Extra tip: Keep your humidity and temperature balanced. Lash glue behaves differently depending on the room conditions, which can affect how your fans hold together.
