Although they may look similar, a Pore of Winer is much more than an ordinary blackhead.
🖤 Blackheads are small, open pores clogged with oil and dead skin cells, which oxidise and turn dark.
🖤 Pores of Winer are enlarged pores containing a compact plug of keratin and debris. They can become quite deep and leave a noticeable open pore.
💙 How can I treat them?
Using shortwave diathermy (ACP), I can treat the contents of both, helping to clear the blockage and, in suitable cases, encourage the pore to contract and the opening to close as the skin heals.

This client came to Skin Solutions Derby with a raised mole that was catching and becoming a nuisance.

Before any cosmetic treatment, it is essential that a mole is medically assessed where appropriate. This client had already had his mole checked and confirmed that no medical intervention was required, allowing us to proceed with cosmetic reduction.

Using Advanced Cosmetic Procedures (ACP), I carefully reduced the raised mole down to skin level, working precisely to minimise trauma to the surrounding skin.

The aim is to achieve a smoother, more even appearance while allowing the treated area to heal naturally.
