Since moving back home and rebuilding my business here, one thing I’ve realised is how much I miss having a genuine business friend.

Someone who celebrated your wins without seeing them as their losses. Someone you could bounce ideas off, ask for advice, or simply message after a long day.

I’ve found the atmosphere here can feel very different at times. It can seem like there’s more focus on who’s doing what, rather than supporting each other and recognising that we’re all working hard to build something we’re proud of.

The thing is… another woman’s success doesn’t take anything away from mine, and mine doesn’t take anything away from hers.

There is enough room for every talented hairdresser, makeup artist, brow artist, nail tech and beauty professional to succeed. Our clients choose us because of who we are, not because someone else failed.

I’ve gained so many new followers over the past while, so I thought it was the perfect time to properly introduce myself.

I’m Ciara-May, the face behind Pure Obsession Hair & Beauty.

I’m 33, a wife, a proud mama to three beautiful babies, and the woman you’ll usually find behind the brush, the spray gun, the extensions… or with a makeup brush in one hand and cuppa tea in the other. 🤍

If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s this…

I genuinely love making women feel incredible.

Not just because their hair looks longer, their makeup is flawless, or they’ve got the perfect bronzed glow—but because of the confidence that comes with it.

That moment when you catch yourself in the mirror and think…

“Wow… I actually feel amazing.”

That’s why I do what I do.

I’ve spent over 15 years in the hair industry, constantly learning, investing in training, and perfecting my craft because my clients deserve nothing less than the very best.

Hair extensions have been my biggest passion for the last 9 years, and they’ve completely stolen my heart. I don’t believe in simply adding more hair—I believe in creating seamless blends, protecting your natural hair, choosing the perfect placement, and giving you results that look and feel completely natural.

I’m incredibly proud to have won multiple awards for my extension work, but the biggest achievement for me will always be seeing a client leave my chair standing a little taller than when she walked in.

Alongside extensions, I’m also a professional hair and makeup artist, with a real soft spot for bridal mornings. There is nothing quite like being trusted to help someone feel their most beautiful on one of the biggest days of their life. Whether it’s soft, romantic glam or full-on luxury bridal beauty, I love bringing each bride’s vision to life.

And because every glam deserves the perfect finishing touch… I’ve also been spray tanning for the last five years, helping clients achieve that healthy, confidence-boosting glow all year round.

A few years ago, I built a thriving business in England that I poured my heart into. Moving home to Northern Ireland meant starting all over again. New location. New clients. New beginning.

It was scary.

But sometimes the biggest leaps of faith lead to the most rewarding journeys.

Today, I’m rebuilding Pure Obsession with more experience, more knowledge, and more passion than ever before—and I honestly couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

The hybrid tint helps add depth and definition, while the lamination lifts and sets the brow hairs into the perfect shape, giving the illusion of thicker, more even brows. 😍
