A Colour Correction Journey ✨🤎

Our gorgeous Leanne is not only a lovely friend, but also a much-loved client …

We have taken her from dark to light before!

But the last time, we took Leanne very light and platinum, but although she loved being lighter, she felt the platinum was just a little too much for her.

So she went back to dark where she felt comfortable.. but given that she has a white base this was no way sustainable..

So….This time, she wanted something softer, more natural and dimensional — a beautiful blend of highlights and lowlights rather than an all-over platinum finish. 🤍🤎

Leanne’s natural base is white, so working with her natural colour gives us a beautiful starting point for creating dimension.

However, because we are also working through previously coloured dark hair, this is a colour correction process, not simply a case of applying a lighter colour.

This time we have carefully worked through the existing dark colour and are gradually bringing the hair back to a lighter, softer look, incorporating beautifully blended highlights and lowlights to create depth, movement and a much more natural finish.

Colour corrections take time, patience and careful planning, particularly when we’re working with a history of previous colour. The condition of the hair always comes first, and we work at a pace that keeps the hair looking healthy always!
