This morning, you left us for a better place a place where you can finally be at peace. You truly were too good for this world.

I cannot believe I am even writing these words. You were my biggest supporter, my right hand man, and my favourite human to ever walk this earth.

You were the strongest man I have ever known. You fought with everything you had, right until the very end, and I will forever be so incredibly proud of you. Your strength and courage were truly unbelievable.

My heart is completely broken, and I don’t think I will ever be able to find the words to explain just how much I love you or how much I am going to miss you.

I wanted to share this with you all because this is an incredibly difficult time for our whole family, and right now we are simply trying to navigate our way through something that feels impossible. I will be taking some time away from work, which I’m sure you will all understand, while we spend this time together as a family and begin to process our loss.

Dad, you were loved and thought so highly of by so many people, and that has been so clear to see. There are going to be so many broken hearts because of the wonderful person you were. You touched so many lives, and you were truly taken from us far too soon.

We will forever be incredibly grateful to St Cuthbert’s Hospice, where we spent the last couple of weeks by Dad’s side. I knew of St Cuthbert’s before this, but until you experience it first hand, you cannot truly understand the incredible care, kindness and love within that place.

Every single person there helped to look after our very special dad with so much compassion and dignity until the very end. We were able to be right there beside you, Dad, surrounding you with love, just as you had surrounded us with love our entire lives.

After experiencing first hand the incredible work St Cuthbert’s Hospice does for families during the most difficult times of their lives, we know how important it is to support them. As a business, we will be giving back to St Cuthbert’s in as many ways as we possibly can. The hospice relies so heavily on the generosity of donations to continue providing this incredible care, and we want to do everything we can to support them and help other families receive the same love, dignity and compassion that they gave to our dad and our family.

It will be our way of giving something back to a place that gave us so much when we needed it most, and a way of continuing to honour Dad and his memory. ❤️

I don’t know how life will ever be the same without you. You weren’t just my dad you were my best friend, my biggest supporter, my safe place and my right hand man.

I will love you and miss you every single day.

I’m taking a much needed week off to rest and give myself a little bit of time out.

There’s a lot going on at the moment, both with work and personally, and I feel like I just need a few days to properly switch off and take a little time for myself.

I honestly can’t put into words how appreciative I am of you all. The fact that you keep me so busy, continue to support me, recommend me and come back to me means the absolute world.
