Her lips were just perfect to work with 🔥💋

Soft and subtle is the way to go, in my opinion. This lipblush treatment was done to accentuate the shape of her lips without overwhelming with colour.

I used Hanafy Rose, Soft Beige and Raspberry HANAFY PIGMENTS FOR PMU from ID Liner 💜 PMU Supplies
Needles: 1RLLT .25 and 1RLMT .35 from Stellar Killer Beauty

A quick lesson in tail patterns - how to avoid the standard fish or mermaid tails aka zipper tails ❌

It’s a tail pattern I’ve seen so often over the years. It’s very popular with microblading, you don’t see it a lot with machine work.
Personally I don’t like this pattern AT ALL ❌

It is so basic and doesn’t reflect natural hair growth in the slightest.

Here’s what to do:
1️⃣ Start with a midbody stroke that ends on the outside of the brow map line in the tail, about 2/3 down.
2️⃣ Merge hairstrokes from the bottom of the brow map into this mid body stroke. Maybe 2 or 3 of them.
3️⃣ merge hairstrokes from the top of the brow map line into the midbody stroke, just 1 or 2 of them.
4️⃣ add some random flowy baby strokes in between that crisscross gently and create a natural and random pattern.

Keep it natural, don’t pack in 30 hairstrokes here! It only needs a few intentional strokes - maybe 10-12

Did that help? Comment below if you found this useful and give me a wee follow if you want to learn more tips and tricks ❤️

Permanent makeup should be done to enhance and improve, not to make it look like you’re wearing eyebrow pencil all the time!

Hyperrealism is the most natural looking pmu you can get and it’s not hard to see why it’s so popular! 😍

For the artists, here is my thinking process:
Client has fair skin, more on the normal/thin side. A great canvas to work with! Some light sensitivity but nothing major at all.
Pigment choice: I’m combining Monica Ivani Absolute Brown with a few drops of FACE pigments. This is mostly an inorganic mix with a hint of organic colourants. It’ll create a cooler based result that won’t heal blue/grey.

Needle: 1RLMT .35 from Peak Stellar. These are my go to babies 😎

I’ve seen artists transform their work in a single day and it wasn’t because they practised more!

I know because I’m one of them. True story: I went to a lip blush masterclass 6 months ago, changed a few tweaks to my technique and I became a top 10 UK lip blush artist the next month.

Sometimes all you need is another pair of eyes (experienced eyes) to go through your technique and tell you where you’re going wrong.

When I need my client to check their brows but they keep giving me the hot gossip!

When it comes to training, it’s not enough to just teach the fundamentals of doing hairstrokes. I believe that students should always be able to refer back to their studies to reflect, repeat the process and make it muscle memory 💪🏼

All my students have lifetime access to the online learning portal. Part of what I teach is not only brow mapping patterns but also hairstroke directions and how to adjust them depending on your client. We even go into what to do if someone has NO natural hair growth!

Interested in one of my 1:1 hairstroke masterclasses? DM me for more info ❤️ let’s do this together!!

Getting the hang of hairstrokes is one of the hardest parts of doing permanent makeup! If you haven’t got your fundamentals down, you’ll just keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

I remember wanting to throw my tattoo machine out the door so many times!! It’s so frustrating when you know you’re not doing something right but you can’t figure out what to change.

This video breaks down some of the most common mistakes I see students make before they learn the fundamentals of doing hairstrokes.

Tell me in the comments what you struggle with and I’ll make a video on it! 🙌🏻❤️
