What do we do at a top up? Once you’ve had the first treatment, the brows have healed, you’re back for a top up. Some hairstrokes will have faded more than others and what we focus on is adding more pigment to only the hairstrokes that need it. So we’re not making any dramatic changes to the shape or design.

For pmu artists: what you want to see is visible, clear hairstrokes but faded! We don’t want to see dark, chunky lines. Expect the brows to have shrunk a little in size compared to when they were freshly done.
Make sure you explain to clients that a fresh permanent makeup result will always look darker and sharper than when they heal.

I used to spend SO much time mapping brows 😅

Measuring, tweaking, checking symmetry, changing one side… then changing it back again.

And at some point I realised I was spending more time looking at my mapping lines than actually looking at the brow in front of me.

That’s why I eventually developed my Mapless Brow Method.

I still use key reference points, but instead of creating a full traditional map, I freehand my hairstroke pattern and let the natural brow guide the shape.

It’s made my process quicker, simpler and much more intuitive.

We have moved from our salon in Bruntsfield to our new amazing clinic just off Lothian Road.

The new address is 1-2 Exchange Crescent, EH3 8RA.

Parking: there is a car park downstairs, the Q park which is reachable by Western Approach Road. It’s paid parking, £4.90 per hour.
Public transport: loads of buses stop on Lothian Road and from there it’s a 3 minute walk.

Walk from Lothian Road towards the Sheraton hotel. Go to the right of the hotel, past All Bar One. Keep walking round towards the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and you’ll see us on the right hand side right next to Pure Gym ☺️
