My answer? Not always!

While medical-grade skincare remains my first choice when we’re specifically targeting skin concerns and looking for proven results, there are also some fantastic, more affordable products that I have personally tried and would happily recommend if you’re working with a budget.

Because skincare isn’t about buying the most expensive products — it’s about choosing the right products for YOUR skin.

⚠️ Remember: just because I recommend a product doesn’t mean it’s suitable for everyone. Some ingredients may be better suited to certain skin types and concerns than others.

The important thing with both is that we’re supporting the skin rather than attacking it. If your skin is inflamed, piling on acids, exfoliants and drying products can sometimes make things worse. Sometimes the best approach is to calm, hydrate and support the barrier first.
