These are NOT all real hairs! 👀🤎

Can you spot which ones are tattooed?

My client already has plenty of natural brow hair, but a few cleverly placed hair strokes can make all the difference!

By carefully adding fine, realistic strokes between her existing hairs, we've filled in the gaps, enhanced her natural shape and created a beautifully balanced brow.

And that's the beauty of hair stroke permanent makeup. It's not always about creating a whole new brow. Sometimes it's simply about enhancing what's already there. ✨

Natural-looking brows, just a little more complete!

86 years young and an absolute diamond! 💎❤️

What a privilege to give this beautiful lady a little brow transformation!

Proof that you're never too old to treat yourself and feel fabulous. 🥰

Soft, delicate hair strokes to bring back definition, gently frame her face and create beautifully natural-looking brows.

No heavy, bold brows heren, just a subtle enhancement that makes such a difference.

Beautiful brows have no age limit! ✨

Fresh brow reveal for the gorgeous ✨

This is exactly why I love creating hair stroke brows, adding definition, structure and fullness while still keeping that soft, natural, individual-hair effect.

The aim isn’t to create a completely different brow. It’s to work with what’s already there, fill the gaps and create strokes that blend as seamlessly as possible with the natural brow hairs.

And that little cotton-pad reveal at the end… always satisfying. 👀

If you love the idea of permanent makeup but don’t want a heavy or overly “done” brow, hair strokes could be a beautiful option for you.

How long will your permanent makeup brows actually last? 🤔

The answer is… there isn’t one exact timescale.

Your skin type, age, lifestyle, medication, skincare, sun exposure, pigment choice and even the brow technique used can all affect how quickly your PMU fades.

Two clients can have the same treatment, using the same pigment, on the same day and their brows can heal and fade completely differently.

That’s why I never treat PMU as a one-size-fits-all treatment.

As a general guide, most of my clients return around every 12–18 months for a colour refresh, but some will need one sooner and others can comfortably go much longer.

And remember...a colour refresh isn’t about starting again. It’s simply about bringing back a little colour and definition once your brows have naturally softened. 🤎

Four years since her last brow appointment with me… and look at this refresh 🤎

Permanent makeup has moved on so much in that time. We have new techniques, new pigments and more ways to tailor the shape and finish to your skin, features and the look you love. So we didn’t simply repeat her old brows — we talked through what suited her now and created a fresh look together.

If it’s been years since your last brow appointment, you might be surprised by what’s possible. Whether you’re considering a colour refresh, a change of style or a completely new set of permanent makeup brows, a consultation is the best place to start.

Not every old brow needs removing first 👀

I talk a lot about laser and saline removal because sometimes it really is the best route before creating a new set of brows.

But not always.

This lovely client had her brows tattooed around 30 years ago in South Africa. The pigment had faded to a milky grey and was fairly translucent.

Normally, with old PMU, we would always consider whether removal would give us the best foundation for a new set of brows. But her skin was extremely thin and vascular, so in her case I decided that complete removal probably wasn’t the best option.

Instead, I carefully worked with what was already there and built a softer, more flattering shape around the remaining pigment.

That’s why a consultation is so important.

Some brows need laser.
Some need saline.
Some need a combination.
And some can be carefully corrected without removal at all.

It depends on the pigment, saturation, shape, age of the previous work and, most importantly, the skin in front of me.

So if you have old PMU and you’re worried that sorting it out automatically means a long removal journey, please don’t assume.

Sometimes the best option is much simpler than you think.

Freshly blushed… 🍓💋

This client opted for a Velvet Lip Blush, a more opaque, lipstick-style finish for those who want a little more impact than a soft sheer tint.

We custom-mixed this gorgeous strawberry red with dusty pink undertones, designed specifically to suit her natural colouring and the finish she wanted.

The beauty of a Velvet Lip?

✨ More even, defined lip colour
✨ Helps enhance the shape and border of the lips
✨ Gives that polished “lipstick on” look without having to apply it every morning
✨ Can be worn matte as it is, or add a little gloss over the top
✨ Pigments can be custom mixed in almost any shade within reason, from soft nudes and pinks to richer reds and berries

And remember, these are freshly tattooed lips, so the colour will soften and settle beautifully as they heal.

Want to wake up with your lip colour already there?

New here? Here’s a little about me and what I do 👋

I’m Rebecca, founder of Changing Faces, and I’ve been working in permanent makeup for over 13 years.

I specialise in creating natural, bespoke permanent makeup that suits the individual rather than following one particular brow style or trend.

My treatments include:
• Brows — hairstrokes, combination and powder
• Lip blush
• Eyeliner and lash enhancement
• Colour boosts
• PMU corrections
• Saline and laser removal
• Advanced Skin, scar & Stretch Mark

A big part of my work is also helping clients with mature skin, sparse brows, hair loss, alopecia, previous permanent makeup and work that needs correcting or removing.

Sometimes the right answer is a fresh set of brows. Sometimes it’s removal first. Sometimes it’s doing very little at all. The important part is knowing what will work best for your skin, your features and the result you actually want.

I’m now very proud to also be a double 2026 Southwest Beauty & Aesthetics Awards winner, taking home:

🏆 Best Brow Master PMU
🏆 SPMU Artist of the Year

Alongside previous regional and national recognition for my work:
🏆 Top 70 Nationally - Best PMU Brows
🏆 3rd place in South West - Best Brows PMU 2023

I work across Exeter and East Devon, with consultations available if you’re not sure where to start.

If you’re considering permanent makeup, correcting old work or simply want some advice, you’re always welcome to message me.

I promise I’ll stop banging on about the awards soon… 😅🏆

But genuinely, I just wanted to say thank you.

I don’t enter awards very often. For me, it’s never just about a lovely night out, a glass of fizz and something shiny to bring home.

I tend to enter when I feel like I’ve genuinely progressed — when I’ve learned more, pushed myself, improved my work and feel proud of where I’m at.

So winning Best Brow Master PMU 2026 and SPMU Artist of the Year 2026 really did mean a lot. ❤️

And of course… I’m also a business owner, so yes, I will absolutely be squeezing a few more posts out of it because good marketing is good marketing. 😂

But behind all of that, I’m just really grateful. To everyone who books with me, recommends me, supports my business, leaves reviews, follows along and continues to trust me with their faces — thank you.

Right… back to cleaning the salon and normal service will resume shortly. 😂

Well… I’m still a little bit in shock. 🥹🏆✨

Last night at the Southwest Beauty & Aesthetics Awards at Winslade Manor, I somehow came home with not one, but TWO awards…

🏆 Best Brow Master PMU 2026
🏆 SPMU Artist of the Year 2026

Honestly, I’m absolutely over the moon.

I’ve been working in this industry for many years, and permanent makeup has been such a huge part of my life and career. I’ve worked on so many different faces, skin types, ages and challenging cases over the years, and I’ve always tried to keep learning, evolving and giving every client the best result I possibly can.

So to have that recognised with these two awards genuinely means so much to me. ❤️

Also… slight comedy moment of the night. 😂
When they announced one of the winners, they literally just said “Rebecca…” — no surname, no business name — and apparently that was enough for me because I SHOT out of my seat and headed straight for the stage. 😂

Thankfully… it actually was me. 🙈🏆

A huge thank you to for such a gorgeous evening and for recognising the work that goes into our industry. I’m incredibly grateful.

And thank you to every single client who has trusted me with their face over the years, recommended me, supported Changing Faces, left reviews, sent friends and family my way, or simply cheered me on.

I genuinely wouldn’t get to do what I love without you.

Two awards. One very happy Rebecca. 🥹🏆🏆
