So today was my first day in my new job Oracle Clinics • Carlisle and Newcastle! 👏🏼

It’s lush knowing I’m going to be there more regularly, seeing more of you and becoming an even bigger part of the day to day at Oracle.

And if you happen to be passing while I’m there, please feel free to pop in and say hello!

If I’m not with a patient, I’d genuinely love to see you.

Whether you’re an existing patient, someone who follows me on here, or you’ve been thinking about coming to see me for a while, you’re always welcome to come in and say hi.

If you do have questions about treatments, concerns you’d like to discuss or you’re wondering what might be right for you, I’ll still ask you to book a proper consultation.

That dedicated time is really important - it means we can sit down privately, talk properly about what’s bothering you, look at your options and make sure you have all the information you need without feeling rushed or trying to squeeze a conversation in between patients.

But you absolutely don’t need an appointment just to come in and say hello 🫶🏼

A very real end-of-day moment.

Home and straight on the sofa after a full Morpeth clinic, followed by temple filler training with Ness in Newcastle.

Minimal makeup, comfy clothes, and absolutely no attempt to make this Instagram-worthy 😂

But I’m sitting here feeling really grateful.

I love clinic days. I love meeting patients, having conversations, making plans and doing the treatments I enjoy.

And I also love that there is always more to learn.

More ways to refine what I do. More knowledge. More opportunities to keep developing.

So this might not be the most glamorous photo I’ve ever shared, but it’s probably one of the most accurate.

A full day doing a job I genuinely love, followed by a very well-earned evening on the sofa.

Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Great to be in London for the Neogen Global Summit.

Really valuable and interesting to hear from leading Neogen experts, learning more about how we’re expanding the possibilities of treatment with Neogen, and hearing all about the latest clinical developments.

The main take home for me:
In a world full of energy based devices, Neogen is pretty much in a league of its own.

And of course, no work trip is complete without a quick drink/girly catch-up, and some good food!

On campus.

I’ve officially started my prescribing module… and it feels slightly strange being a student again.

It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while, mainly because of what it will mean for our patients and how we work as a clinic.

For me, it’s about making the whole patient journey more seamless, giving us more flexibility within clinic and being able to offer an even better standard of care from start to finish.

As a team, we’ve always been really big on continuous learning.

Not just doing courses for the sake of collecting certificates, but actually asking, will this make us better at what we do? Will it improve the experience for our patients? Will it give us more knowledge and more options?

If the answer is yes, it’s worth doing.

So here I am … back at uni, notebook out, brain switched into student mode and ready for the next challenge.

A little daunting. Super exciting. Another step forward.
