✨ Allergy Testing for Colour Services ✨

Your safety always comes first when it comes to colouring services in the salon. That’s why allergy alert testing (often called a patch test) is such an important step before any on-scalp colour treatment.

🔹 What is an Allergy Alert Test?
It’s a simple test where a small amount of colour product is applied to your skin (usually behind the ear or we now predominately on the inner elbow as we recommend now ) at least 48 hours before your appointment. This checks whether your skin reacts to the colour and ensures it’s safe to go ahead with your service.

🔹 Why is it important?

* Hair colour products contain ingredients (such as PPD) that can cause allergic reactions.
* Even if you’ve coloured your hair before, allergies can develop over time.
* Testing protects your health and allows us to give you the best, safest salon experience.

🔹 When do you need to be tested?

* If you’re a new client.
* If you’ve not had colour with us in the last 6 months.
* If you’ve had any changes to your health, medication, or hair colour brand.

🔹 What happens if you react?
If any redness, itching, or swelling occurs, it means the product isn’t safe for you to use. Don’t worry—we can explore alternative colour options to achieve your look safely.

✨ At our salon, your wellbeing is a priority. Please book your allergy alert test at least 48 hours before your colour service. Thank you for helping us keep you safe while keeping your hair looking fabulous!
