As a small business operating in this area, the intended proposals will be catastrophic to my business.
£1050 a year for a business permit to park ONE car, with no guarantee of a space anywhere nearby.
£4.80 an hour at a parking meter for my customers. Imagine a 3 hour colour appointment….. nearly £15 on to your bill!
The proposals will drive the customers of local shops to look for other mshopping options such as big malls with free parking.

Apart from the businesses, all households with cars will need a yearly permit for EACH car they own. Visitors will have to use meters or purchase expensive parking vouchers. Got a family member visiting for a week…. by my calculation visitor vouchers will cost them £70 for a week.
EDIT… visitor permits will cost £105 for 7 days!
Plus there are a very limited supply of these vouchers per household
