There was a time when I knew I wasn’t ready to teach… and I’m actually grateful I recognised that. 🤎

Being good at a treatment and being ready to TEACH that treatment are two completely different things.

Previously, I had the qualifications, but I didn’t feel I had enough real-world experience, confidence or depth of knowledge to stand in front of someone and say, “I’m going to teach you how to do this properly.”

For me, teaching in the beauty & wellness industry comes with responsibility.

It isn’t just about showing someone a routine, handing over a manual and giving them a certificate.

It’s about understanding the WHY behind what we do.
Knowing anatomy & physiology.
Understanding contraindications.
Adapting treatments to different clients.
Knowing what to do when something doesn’t go to plan.
And being able to answer the questions that aren’t written in the training manual.

So I waited.

I worked. I treated clients. I continued learning. I made mistakes, reflected, improved and built genuine hands-on experience.

And somewhere along the way, I realised I wasn’t just performing treatments anymore — I understood them well enough to explain them, adapt them and teach them.

Now, as I prepare for the next chapter of my training academy, I feel completely different.

I’m not teaching because I can.

I’m teaching because I finally feel ready to give my students the knowledge, confidence and support I would have wanted when I was learning. 🌿

Sometimes waiting doesn’t mean you’re behind.

Sometimes it means you care enough to make sure you’re ready. 🤎
