⚽ Football is great… but don’t forget your skin deserves some attention too. Give it the professional care it deserves. ✨

Your skin has been working hard in this heat.

High temperatures, sun exposure and dehydration can leave your skin feeling tight, dull and more prone to congestion. Summer isn’t always the time for aggressive treatments—it’s the perfect time to focus on restoring hydration and supporting your skin barrier.

My go-to treatments during hot weather are:
✨Rejuvenate & Glow Facial
✨ Hydroglow facial
✨Biorevitalisation for deep, long-lasting hydration

The right treatment doesn’t just make your skin look better, it helps it function better too.

Summer can be one of the most challenging seasons for your skin. 🥵

If you struggle with acne, rosacea or melasma, it’s not just UV that’s the problem-heat itself can make these conditions worse.

Here’s how to help keep your skin calm this summer:

✔️ Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 50 every day and reapply when needed.

✔️ Protect yourself from heat as well as the sun. Seek shade, wear a hat, and avoid being outdoors during the hottest part of the day whenever possible.

✔️ Keep your skin hydrated. A healthy skin barrier is less likely to become irritated or inflamed.

✔️ Choose lightweight, non-comedogenic skincare and avoid heavy products that can trap sweat and oil.

✔️ Cleanse your skin after excessive sweating, but don’t over-cleanse, as this can weaken your skin barrier.

✔️ If you have rosacea, try to keep your skin cool. Cold drinks, a fan, or a cool compress can help reduce flushing.

✔️ If you have melasma, remember that heat alone can trigger pigmentation, even if you’re diligent with SPF. That’s why limiting heat exposure is just as important as protecting yourself from UV.

Professional treatments can also help keep your skin healthy during the summer when they’re chosen carefully. Every skin is different, so the best treatment plan will always depend on your skin type and concerns.

If you’re unsure what your skin needs this season, I’d be happy to help you create a personalised summer skincare plan. 💛

One of the few chemical peels that can be safely combined with microneedling for enhanced results. ✨

BioRePeel + Microneedling is the perfect combination to:
• boost collagen and elastin production
• improve skin texture and tone
• reduce acne scars and pigmentation
• soften fine lines
• refine enlarged pores
• reveal brighter, healthier-looking skin

By combining controlled collagen stimulation with BioRePeel’s biostimulating and exfoliating action, we can achieve smoother, firmer and more radiant skin with minimal downtime.

This stereotype honestly felt a bit hurtful to see.

Azelaic acid is one of my favourite active ingredients because I consistently see really good results when it is used as part of a home care routine. It’s a gentle but highly effective ingredient for improving skin tone, reducing inflammation, and helping with acne, post-acne marks and pigmentation.

My favourite “behind the counter” and professional azelaic acid products are:

* FaceTheory Azeclear Serum A15 – one of my absolute favourites for texture, breakouts and overall skin clarity, repeated 7-8 times
* Anua Azelaic Acid Serum – a gentler option, great for sensitive and reactive skin.
* Dermatica Azelaic Acid 15–20% – prescription-strength formula, very effective for pigmentation and acne.
* Paula’s Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster – lightweight and easy to layer with other actives.

Finally a day off. House is empty. Coffee.
I thought I’d just relax…
Ended up doing microneedling instead.
Now I’m red as a tomato.
Okay, now I can finally enjoy my coffee ☕️

I struggled with acne from my teens until my 30s.
If I could go back, I’d tell myself:

✨ Stop trying to dry your skin out with harsh alcohol-based toners. I used products like Clearasil for years thinking I could dry my acne away. I couldn’t.

✨ Oily skin still needs hydration. Drying it out won’t make it less oily, but it can leave it dehydrated, irritated and more prone to breakouts.

✨ Stop overusing acids and retinoids. Applying them more often or using stronger products won’t get you clear skin faster. It will only damage your skin barrier.

✨ No, the sun is not going to cure your acne. I used to think my skin looked better after a holiday. A few weeks later I’d usually be dealing with an even worse breakout.

✨ Stop picking your spots. The acne disappears. The scars can stay for years.

✨ Stop buying every miracle product you see online. Most of the time you don’t need another product. You need a plan.

✨ Be kinder to yourself. One day you’ll realise that nobody notices your skin as much as you do.

And one more thing…

The years you spent struggling with acne will eventually help you become a better skin therapist because you’ll truly understand what your clients are going through. 🤍

If you’re struggling with acne, acne scarring or simply don’t know where to start, send me a message and let’s create a treatment plan that works for your skin.
