Noise Off .. Identity On ✨🌈
In this industry your professional signature isn't based on the products you use - it's defined by the way you work.
Every single one of us will section differently, apply, mix, place or style differently too.
These aren't random habits, they're learned behaviours, refined skills, and personal signatures shaped by training and experience. ❤️
This means you are unique, this is your identity and therefore you cannot compete with that, so competition is unnecessary.. 🌈✨
Two stylists can use the exact same formula and application and get totally different results, and that's ok.
That's not something to compare or shame, that's something to recognise and respect..
Our industry doesn't need rivalry its needs understanding ..❤️
There is space for every single identity in this industry, and let's celebrate that!!

YOUR CONSULTATION IS PART OF YOUR FORMULATION 📖
Before I pick up a tint brush, I want to know what my client actually means when they say…
“I want it brighter.”
“I don’t want it too warm.”
“I want something different.”
“I want it vivid… but not TOO vivid.” 😂
Because our version of a colour and our client’s version can be two completely different things.
This is why I LOVE using visuals during consultations. ✨
Colour charts, swatches, reference pictures — anything that gets us both speaking the same colour language.
But the consultation goes deeper than choosing a pretty shade.
I’m looking at ...
- Their current level & underlying pigment
- Previous colour history
- Hair condition & porosity
- What’s realistically achievable
- Placement and how that will affect the finished look
- Maintenance and what they’re prepared to do at home
Then comes the formulation.
What is already in the hair + where we need to get to + what happens chemically in between?
That’s the bit I want stylists to start THINKING about rather than just reaching for a formula they’ve seen online.
A good consultation isn’t just “what colour do you want?”
It’s gathering all the information you need to create your blueprint before you start.
And sometimes the most professional thing you can say is:
“We can get there… just maybe not today.”

Ribbons of Lavender & Pink 🩷💜
Always a good choice ✨
Using
Dragonfruit Drip 🧡🩷✨
Using a permanent colour mix for the base, and adding ribbons of Reboost+ this mix is just so bloody gorgeous!
Colour palette below ⬇️
5.4 & 043 with 10vol as root colour, and then pulled through in ribbons.
Magenta & Red - applied in 1inch sections and pulled through to the ends, making sure the colours don't over lap but are big enough sections to see each colour perfectly.
POV: You’re trying to sound educational but Bisabolol has other plans. 😂
Anyway… pronunciation skills aside, Illumination Cream remains my absolute go-to.
✨ Gentle, controlled lift
✨ Perfect for face framing
✨ Great for grey blending
✨ Helps maintain a beautiful shine
✨ My go too for vivid transformations.
The hair looked amazing. The ingredient got mentioned. Whether I said it correctly is another story entirely. 🤣😭
Transform my hair with me 🍒 - it's a long one but stick with me it's worth it 🌹🍓❤️
For this transformation, I lifted my hair using Neal & Wolf Ultimate 9 Lightener with 20vol developer.
Why Ultimate 9?
The strongest lightener in the Neal & Wolf family, but contains toning pigments to help neutralise unwanted tones. This lightener is best for using in those colour corrections & naturally darker bases.. 🍒
I paired it with Olaplex throughout the lightening process to help protect and strengthen the hair bonds, because healthy hair always comes first.
Once I had the perfect base, I applied Neal & Wolf Reboost+ Red ❤️
Why I love Reboost+:
There a true semi oermamt direct dye, which all are intermixable. Contains plant proteins to strengthen hair and make the hair feel incredible.
To finish, I styled using:
✨ Guard – heat protection is non-negotiable
✨ Miracle Mist – for softness, moisture and manageability
✨ Glow – because every vivid deserves that glass-like shine
What do you guys think? Should I do more talking to camera videos? Haha! Be nice this is my first one 🍒🍓❤️
Grey blending doesn’t always mean adding more grey… ✨
For my client I wanted to create a softer grow-out around the face while maintaining brightness and dimension. That’s why I chose Neal & Wolf Illumination Cream as my face-framing lightener.
Why?
✨ The creamy consistency allows for precise application, making it perfect for delicate face-framing work.
✨ It helps achieve clean, controlled lift while maintaining the condition of the hair.
✨ Conditioning agents within the formula help support the hair during the lightening process, leaving it feeling softer and healthier.
✨ The brighter ribbons around the hairline help diffuse and disguise grey regrowth, creating a more seamless transition between appointments.
Grey blending should always be personalised. If your sparkle sits predominantly around the front, adding strategic brightness can often be more flattering than simply covering or matching the grey.
By combining thoughtful placement with the right products, we can create a result that grows out softer, lasts longer, and feels more natural for the client. 🤍
Because grey blending isn’t about hiding your greys… it’s about making them work with your colour, not against it.
