This is a big shame and a serious letdown for the Nigerian Police. Inviting Verydarkblackman for questioning is not the problem the real problem is the allegations and revelations about what is happening within the security system.

Corruption in Nigeria is no longer just about taking bribes. There are allegations of corruption that destroy families, homes, properties and people's livelihoods. Yes, there are good police officers and soldiers, but when the bad ones overpower the good ones, what are citizens supposed to do?

And to those saying rubbish simply because these things have not happened to you: listen carefully to this man's story.

If police or soldiers are allegedly collecting money at checkpointsand that money eventually reaches banditswhile both sides say, Don't worry we know then Nigerians have every right to ask serious questions. How can criminals operate so freely if those who are supposed to protect the people are allegedly cooperating with them?
We need a proper investigation, accountability and justice not excuses.

And to those using criminals and violence to destroy Nigeria for their own interests: be warned. What you are enabling today can one day come back to you. The very forces you think you control may eventually turn against you.

What exactly is the problem here? If you are genuinely disappointed that Verydarkblackman was invited to an NBA conference in Nigeria, then I honestly think you are missing the bigger picture.

He was invited to the conference, he was given an opportunity to speak, he participated on the panel, and he was even recognised with an award. Whether you personally like him or not, clearly the organisers saw value in having his voice represented.

And let us be honest: you do not have to be a lawyer to ask questions that affect ordinary Nigerians. Sometimes, the person standing outside the system sees things that those inside the system have become too comfortable to notice.

Verydarkblackman has consistently raised serious questions about corruption, accountability, insecurity and the treatment of ordinary Nigerians. Whether you agree with every single thing he says is another matter, but dismissing him simply because he is not a lawyer is not an argument.

A Shameful Mockery of the Nigeria Police
I am honestly flabbergasted. I was watching Arise News just now, and I saw that the matter of Verydarkblackman being invited by the police for investigation over his comments at the NBA conference was listed among the stories they were going to discuss. I waited patiently to hear their contributions and analysis, only to discover that it was not discussed. That was quite shocking.
I will post the video where they introduced it as one of the matters they were going to deliberate on.

But honestly, this whole situation is becoming a big slap in the face of the Nigerian people and, frankly, an embarrassment to the Nigeria Police You invite someone for investigation and ask him to provide evidence when evidence and allegations are already everywhere in the public domain?

Go to D English Alhaji page and listen carefully to what was said including the allegations involving prominent Nigerian senators and the claims about politicians and bandits. These are serious allegations that deserve proper investigation not simply inviting the person who spoke about them and demanding that he produce evidence as though nothing else exists.
Verydarkblackman does not strike me as someone who simply talks recklessly without anything behind what he says. If the police believe his allegations are false, then investigate them properly. If they are true, then Nigerians deserve answers.

We have heard allegations about politicians having contact with bandits. We have seen videos and heard public statements from people claiming knowledge of these relationships. Nigerians have seen footage that has raised serious questions about security personnel and bandits interacting openly. Even Sheikh Ahmad Gumi publicly spoke about taking politicians to meet bandits.

So what exactly are we investigating and why does it appear that the focus is on the person speaking rather than on the serious allegations being raised?

It is beginning to look like a public-relations exercise to make Nigerians believe that the authorities are (doing something) But Nigerians are not stupid.
If this matter is taken further and Verydarkblackman walks into that investigation with the evidence and information available in the public domain the outcome could be extremely embarrassing for those who summoned him.

The Nigerian people deserve answers, accountability and genuine investigation not a performance designed to silence questions.

This is bigger than Verydarkblackman. Investigate the allegations. Follow the evidence. Ask the right questions...

However, I don’t agree with you on the part concerning the mother. In my opinion, the insult should have been directed at him because, from his behaviour, he clearly came across as a disrespectful and wayward young man.

And to those of you who think telling a woman, (You look sexy) is always a compliment please understand that it can absolutely be inappropriate and insulting, depending on the context.

Not every woman wants to be reduced to how sexually attractive you find her. Give a woman a proper compliment...You look gorgeous. You look stunning.You look beautiful.
Those are respectful compliments.
You cannot look at a woman as though you're un******ng her with your eyes and then hide behind, (You look sexy) as if that automatically makes it respectful.

Learn how to compliment women without objectifying them🙄
