✨ FACIAL PIGMENTATION FREEZING — WHAT TO EXPECT ✨

Thinking about having pigmentation or sun/age spots treated with CryoPen? ❄️ These photos are a great example of why it’s important to understand the healing process as well as the final result.

Immediately after treatment:
The treated pigmentation may look red, darker or more noticeable than it did before.

Over the following days:
The area can become much darker and form a crust or scab. On the face this can look quite obvious — but this is an expected part of the healing process. Please don’t pick or remove it; allow it to come away naturally.

As it heals:
The crust gradually lifts away and the skin underneath can initially look pink or slightly different in colour while it settles.

The result:
Once fully healed, the treated pigmentation can appear significantly lighter or may clear, depending on the individual area. Some pigmentation may require more than one treatment.

📅 PLEASE PLAN YOUR APPOINTMENT AROUND SOCIAL EVENTS!

If you have a wedding, holiday, party, photographs or another important occasion coming up, don’t book your facial CryoPen treatment immediately beforehand. The pigmentation often looks darker and more noticeable before it looks better, so allow plenty of healing time.

Every area is assessed for suitability before we treat, and anything we are not completely happy with will be referred for medical assessment.

✨ SUN DAMAGE — FROZEN AWAY WITH CRYOPEN ✨

These photos show the healing process following CryoPen treatment on an area of sun damage — from the original pigmentation, through the healing stage, to the beautifully clear result.

❄️ CryoPen uses a highly targeted freezing technique to treat the unwanted area while minimising damage to the surrounding healthy skin.

Immediately afterwards, the area can become red and darker. Over the following days it may crust or scab — exactly as you can see in the second photo. This is part of the normal healing process and should be left to come away naturally.

Once the area has healed and the crust has lifted, fresh skin is revealed underneath — look at the difference in the final photo! 😍

CryoPen can be used for a range of suitable benign skin concerns, including:
