Two things about me you can take from this content
1. I don’t want to spend hours creating content anymore 😆
2. I want to give more value to lash courses then just educating you for one day
So yes I’m filming this in the least aesthetic room in my house right now (reno life), no perfect set up and no retaking the video 50+ times 🤣 I’ve spent way too long over complicating content and stealing time away from things that are SO much more important. If you’re ever put off posting because ‘it wasn’t ready’ this is your sign to just hit record.
And on a training note…a one day course teaches you the technique but then you’re left on your own to figure out the business side and everything else. I’ve been in the industry for 13 years now and the longer I’ve been in it, the more I’ve realised that learning the actual skill is only a small part of it. I think one of the biggest things that stops people getting into beauty is thinking they need loads of spare time to actually make anything of it. Especially if you’re already working, have kids, a house to run or just generally feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day 😅 but you don’t have to suddenly clear your diary and change your life to start.
Korean lash lifts are such a lovely treatment to learn if you want to dip your toe into the industry without taking on loads at once. You don’t need any previous beauty experience and once qualified you can literally start by opening up a couple of appointments around the life you already have. I built my whole business this way so I know it works.
One client here. Another one there. A Saturday morning when you’ve got childcare. Whatever works for you.
I think we put so much pressure on ourselves to have the time, money and perfect plan before we start something new when sometimes you just have to find a way to make the first little bit fit. Anyway if you’ve been wanting to learn something new but keep telling yourself you’re ‘too busy’ I thought I’d leave this here 🫶🏼
My next TWO Korean lash lift training dates are live! (Both on a Sunday, just 4-5 hours) so no excuses 🤣💘

Becoming a mam has made me realised how grateful I am that I chose a career that eventually gave me the freedom I have now. And maybe there’s someone reading this tonight who’s been thinking about doing something different for ages but keeps putting it off because life, money, kids, work… there’s always something 🤣 anyway food for thought on a Sunday night 💘 my dms are always open if lash training has been in the back of your mind and you just fancy a chat about it 🫶🏼
