I honestly don't know how to put this into words.

Just a few months after opening the doors to Curls in Bloom by Victoria, I'm now a finalist in not one, but TWO categories at the The UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2026.

This business has been built from the heart. Every client who's trusted me with their hair, every kind message, every recommendation and every bit of support has helped make this possible.

It's never just been about creating beautiful hair. It's about helping people feel confident, understood and proud of their natural texture.

With only 11 days to go, the excitement is definitely starting to feel real, and I'm even more excited now that I'm up for two awards.

Whether I come home with a trophy or not, being recognised alongside so many incredibly talented people already feels like such an amazing achievement.

Thank you to every single person who's supported Curls in Bloom by Victoria. This journey is only just beginning, and I genuinely can't wait to see what comes next.

These are just a few of the things I find myself saying to clients almost every week.

The truth is, curly hair isn't one size fits all. What works brilliantly for one person could be completely wrong for someone else. That's why I don't believe in following every trend or buying every product that's gone viral.

Over the years, I've learnt that healthy curls come from understanding your own hair. Sometimes all you need is more water, a better technique or a simpler routine, rather than another product sitting in the bathroom cupboard.

You might agree with every tip, or you might disagree with some of them, and that's absolutely fine. Hair is personal, and we're all entitled to our own opinions and experiences.

I'm sure some of these opinions will divide people... and that's okay. Healthy conversations help us all learn.
