If you’re thinking about having brow micropigmentation, it’s important to understand that the process doesn’t finish on the day of your appointment.

Beautiful, natural-looking brows take time to heal and settle. ✨

So, what does the process look like?

1️⃣ Consultation & Brow Design

Before the procedure, we discuss your expectations, analyse your natural brows and facial features, and create a personalised design for you.

2️⃣ Pigment Selection

The pigment colour is carefully chosen according to your natural colouring, brows and the result you’re looking for.

3️⃣ Micropigmentation

Once you’re happy with the design, the pigment is implanted into the skin using the chosen technique — whether that’s Microblading, Powder Brows or Combination Brows.

4️⃣ Healing Process

After the appointment, your brows will go through a healing process. They may initially look darker and more defined, then gradually soften as the skin heals and the pigment settles.

5️⃣ Perfecting Session

For many clients, a perfecting session is recommended around 6–8 weeks later, once the brows have completely healed.

This is when we can assess how the pigment has settled and make any necessary refinements.

✨ So how many sessions do you need?

In most cases, you should plan for two appointments:

🤎 Initial brow procedure
🤎 Perfecting session after healing

However, every client is different. Skin type, lifestyle, previous brow work and how your skin retains pigment can all influence the process.

Today I want to take you behind the scenes and show you a little more about what happens during a brow micropigmentation appointment at my studio.

A lot of people think micropigmentation is simply about applying pigment to the brows… but there is so much more involved. ✨

Every client is different, and that’s why every brow design is personalised.

📏 First, we take the measurements and analyse your facial features.

💬 Then we talk about what YOU want — the shape, style and level of definition you’re looking for.

✨ We create a brow design specifically for your face, taking into consideration your natural brows and facial symmetry.

🎨 We also carefully select the pigment colour to complement your natural colouring and the result you want to achieve.

And only when everything has been discussed, measured and approved do we begin the procedure.

Nothing is rushed. Nothing is copied.

“I’M SCARED THEY’LL LOOK TOO DARK…” 🤎

If this is the thought stopping you from trying Microblading for the first time, you’re not alone.

One of our first-time clients had exactly the same concern.

✨ “What if they’re too dark?”
✨ “What if they don’t look natural?”
✨ “What will they look like once they heal?”

Here’s the important part…

Fresh Microblading is NOT your final result.

Straight after the treatment, the brows can look darker and more defined because the pigment is fresh and the skin is healing.

During the healing process, the colour will gradually soften — often by around 30–50% — leaving a much more natural, softer appearance.

And yes… there can be a stage where your brows look lighter than expected. Don’t panic! 🤎 This can be completely normal while the skin is healing and the pigment settles.

For our client, seeing the transformation and understanding the healing process made her feel so much more confident about her first Microblading experience.

The goal isn’t to give you “Instagram brows”.

It’s to create brows that look natural, balanced and right for YOUR face.
