Sulis

🌿 A little reintroduction…

I’m Em, the herbalist behind Sulis Botanica.

I first trained as an aromatherapist over 20 years ago, and my love of plants eventually led me to horticulture and a degree in Medical Herbalism.

These days, my work is a mix of all the things I love, and no two weeks are quite the same!

🌿 Creating herbal teas, tinctures, balms and botanical products.

🌿 Running Herbal Explorers, my hands-on herbal workshops for children, where we grow, make and explore the wonderful world of plants.

🌿 Working with young people at a local school, developing a garden alongside a wonderful group of students.

🌿 Bringing adults together through herbal workshops, medicine-making groups, seasonal gatherings and nature walks.

I love sharing my knowledge, getting people hands-on with plants and helping them discover what they can grow, make and learn from the natural world.

Whether I’m teaching children to make herbal remedies, helping young people develop a garden or sharing herbal medicine with adults, it’s all about connecting people with plants and passing on those skills and knowledge.

You’ll usually find me with my hands in the soil, making something in my apothecary or dreaming up yet another project!

If you love herbs, nature and learning new things, you’re in the right place.

And if you’d like to collaborate, book a herbal workshop or talk, or explore working together on a project, please get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.

It’s lovely to watch kids making herbal remedies and learning to grow herbs and vegetables.

Winter Warmth 🍂

The first chilly evenings are here, and that means Winter Warmth is back.

My seasonal loose-leaf tea blend, created especially for the colder months, with rooibos, cacao nibs, orange peel, cinnamon, rosehip, star anise and allspice.

Rich, warming and gently spiced, with citrus and cacao bringing a little brightness and depth. It is the kind of tea made for a blanket, a good book and an evening when the nights have drawn in.

Winter Warmth is only available through Autumn and Winter, and once this seasonal batch is gone, it will be gone until next year.

Just a girl and her Schnauzer 🐾🐾🐾❤️

Welcome to my favourite month and birthday month (I’m 50 this month 🙈🙈) def an old crone 🧙🍂🧡🍁

Our little Gracie is 18 today! ❤️🐾

We’ve had her for 12 years after being rescued her from a puppy farm, and she has become such a huge part of our lives.

She’s been with us through some of the hardest times, including losing my mum, my dad and Lee’s dad. Through it all, she’s always been there, our little constant.

Despite all her health challenges, she’s still going strong and completely micro-manages our lives from her 30cm of fluff!

She really is our little miracle dog, and we adore her.

Happy 18th birthday, beautiful Gracie. ❤️
