May 29th 2021 - The day I had my Gastric Bypass and changed my life for the better, for me, my family and my future! A time to be proud, to document, to share and hopefully inspire. This is Me!!
My journey with SW started back in October 2010 when I weighed over 20 stone and was a size 24/2
6. I stopped going to group in May 2012 but by the October I had put on almost all of the weight I had lost; so rejoined again. Once again I did well but stopped going again in March 2014, thinking I could go it alone; surprise suprise, I couldn't! So, 3rd time lucky, I rejoined in November 2014 and don't intend going it alone again!! I approached the plan in a more realistic way, accepting that this is a lifestyle change for good! Life can serve you curve-balls that take you off track but it's the getting back on plan that is important - never giving up! I have now lost the most weight I have ever lost, and am almost at my lowest weight that I can remember being! I have dropped from 22/24 to 16/18/20 and even bought my first size 14!!!! It has always been about the dress size rather than the weight for me, my goal being a size 12/14. However, with Slimming World, you set a target weight, which I have estimated to be 14stone to get me the size I want to be (that may alter of course!). It is the first time that I have actually felt that this is achievable during this coming year, having made a good start last year. This page is my journey - there WILL be "downs" as well as "ups", and I will share ALL with you so that you can see all of my journey. I will post pics of my meals, recipes, tips, inspirational posts and what I am doing to stay on plan. If this page is only to help keep me on track then I will be happy, but if it helps just 1 more person to believe in themselves and inspire them to become healthy eaters for life then I will be over the moon! xx
