I feel like we're taught to measure our days by how much we get done rather than how we actually feel by the end of them.. but I don't really like that. It doesn't have to be that way πŸ˜ŠπŸ’

In the past, I spent a long time confusing exhaustion with achievement. If I collapsed into bed shattered, I assumed that meant I'd earnt my rest. So I'd sleep, and then before I knew it, it was time to do it again the following day πŸ’€

Thankfully, I measure things very differently these days. Not by how packed my diary was, but by whether I made enough space for joy, self-care, time with loved ones and the things that actually matter to me πŸ’—

I don't think 'slowing down' is something you arrive at once and then it's sorted either. It's something I have to keep choosing, especially during the times when life gets loud again 🌿

Some days that means a busy diary. Other days, it means doing far less than I 'should.' But I'm completely at peace with that 😌✨

How do you think things could change for you if measured your days by how you felt, instead of what you'd managed to tick off? xx

This one's pretty accurate πŸ˜…πŸ€

Honestly, it's rarely the big stuff that shifts how I feel day to day. It's little things, that sometimes take no more than 10 minutes - like going for a walk & getting fresh air, doing some gratitude or even just sipping a tizzy in the sun πŸ₯°πŸŒΏ

I think it's quite reassuring that we don't always need a big overhaul to feel better, sometimes it really is in the little things πŸ™ŒπŸ»

What small habits do you have that add up? xx

When I used to hear people say that the younger years were 'the best years of your life', I thought it made sense πŸ€”

More energy, less responsibility, fewer hot flushes or random joint aches πŸ˜…

But now, in the peak of midlife, I see it very differently. The best years aren't something that just happen when you're young. They're something you build choice after choice, when you spend more time looking after yourself instead of worrying about everything else ✨

Nourishing my body. Walking more. Building strength. Resting without the guilt that used to come with it 🌿

Turns out, the best years were never behind me. They're the ones I'm living right now, and this is just the beginning. Here's to every midlife woman rewriting that story 🀍

So far, this Summer has brought a lovely mix of adventure and rest - and looking back, it's the small moments that have really stayed with me πŸŒ…

It's not necessarily the plans or the places, it's more about how it all felt. Some adventures with Steve, enjoying the sunlight, pockets of nurturing time to myself and couple of proper pauses from my to-do list 😌✨

These little things remind me how much I appreciate these unhurried moments in my life, and I'm grateful to have realised how vital they are in my wellness journey 🫢🏻

Going forward, I'm going to continue being in the moment and acknowledging the small stuff, because it's usually what fills me up the most πŸ₯°

What summer moments have filled your cup lately? I'd love to know! πŸ’

I've seen so many women hesitate when it comes to trying new things, because they were somehow convinced that it was 'too late' for them to get started πŸ˜”

In the past, I've dealt with that too. Until one day, it just occurred to me.. 'too late' according to who? Because nobody had ever actually told me that. I'd just subconsciously decided it myself πŸ’

About 10 years ago, I took a chance on something I hadn't planned for. No perfect timing or guarantees, just a willingness to see what might happen if I did something positive for myself πŸ’—

What came from that has surprised me more than I expected. A shift in how I think, a version of myself who is healthy & thriving, and a community of women who continue to uplift me ✨

Since then, I've come across so many women who have done the same - like investing in their wellness, working on themselves or taking a leap of faith. The one thing they have in common is that they all wish they started sooner. So if you've been telling yourself it's 'too late' for you, I promise you it isn't πŸ™ŒπŸ»

What's something you've been putting off because you think it's 'too late' for you? Or, looking back, what's something you're really glad you started anyway? xx

Something I've thought about this week is how much of our days we spend rushing through on autopilot without really noticing it πŸ’

We jump from one thing to the next (and inevitably forget certain bits in between), try to get through our to-do lists while we go through the motions, and focus on what comes next rather than being present 🀯

Thankfully, since I began my wellness journey, there's been some shifts. One of those being how my morning routine has become such a vital, restorative practice in my life πŸŒ…

Back in the day, I would dread my alarm. I'd be rushing around, coffee in hand, trying to get myself together without leaving any breathing room πŸ₯΄

Today, my morning routine is a peaceful anchor that I won't compromise. I go at my own pace, and I enjoy sitting quietly with a tizzy and just thinking. I can have some breakfast that actually fuels me. And sometimes I'll write in my journal, do some affirmations or have a little cuddle with my cat πŸ₯°πŸ΅

So I'd love to know, is there a part of your day you used to rush through that you now look forward to? Let's celebrate the little things together ✨

I used to think that healthy ageing meant picking a side.. either being disciplined & structured, or being relaxed & easy-going. Now, I know that's not true at all 🀍

You don't have to be one or the other. I choose to be both, because that's where the balance lies 😌

I get to choose what balance looks like for me, and so do you. That's not something to overthink. That's something to enjoy ✨

In recent years, one thing I've learned for certain is that courage rarely feels like courage in the moment πŸ€”

For a long time, I thought I needed to feel brave and confident before I could do the things that scare me. But looking back, I don't think I ever felt ready. I was just scared and did it anyway 🫢🏻

The conversations I didn't know how to start.
The boundaries I set that I was terrified would be misunderstood by someone.
The decisions that might not have made much sense on paper, but felt right underneath it all.

None of that came from confidence. It came from doing them even while my heart was still pounding πŸ¦‹

I used to think brave people just didn't feel fear the same way I did. Now, I know that's not true at all. They just don't let fear become the deciding vote ✨

I'm proud of every moment that I move forward, even when my comfort zone tries to convince me to stay still 😌

I used to think not having everything figured out meant I was behind somehow. Today, I see it very differently 🀍

There is still so much ahead for me - choices, opportunities, dreams, new chapters, memories to be made..

I get to decide what comes next, and so do you. That's not something to fear. That's something to be grateful for ✨

When I came across this quote, it really got me thinking. Because for a long time, I thought 'becoming my best self' was somewhere out in the future, waiting for me to arrive once I'd hit some invisible milestone πŸ’

However, my own wellness journey has taught me something different. The big overhauls never really stuck for me. What actually did have a positive, lasting impact were the small things. Like the way I talk to myself. The daily routines I've built to support me. Letting myself rest when I know I need it, rather than pushing through 😌

It's doing those things again & again that has (and continues to) help me feel present, instead of waiting for 'someday.' And it's in this chapter that I've felt myself grow the most πŸ’—

What small choices/habits have made a bigger difference for you than you expected? I'd love to know xx
