The 'junction' across from the salon is now a 1 way only! You can enter Stevenston Street from Bonnyton Rd but you can't come out of Stevenston Street onto Bonnyton Rd👍
This has been changed for 3/4 weeks now🫣
People are still coming out of Stevenston St onto Bonnyton Rd! If you're one of the drivers who don't know the new road layout or maybe you do but chose to still come out of the road end, take note that today someone finally got stopped by the police. When the schools go back in 3weeks time, the narrowed bit of road to make Stevenson Street a one way will be crazy congested! It is illegal to drive the wrong way on a one way street and I believe its penalty points and £100 fine according to Google anyway🤷‍♀️ We have seen many accidents at this junction over the years and just because they weren't all 'recorded' doesn't mean they didn't happen. I know everyone isn't on agreement with the new road layout however I would hate any clients to get done. So this is just a wee post so you are all aware :) Take care

The portal brings together everything you need to know about the Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (ETRO) for Stevenson Street, Kilmarnock, including:
• Scheme drawings
• Details of the ETRO
• Background information on the project
• A 360° video of the junction
• Information on how the trial will be monitored

The portal also provides an opportunity for residents, businesses and road users to ask questions throughout the experimental period.
