✨ 2 Weeks Post-Op Revision Rhinoplasty ✨

Chris came to us with a highly complex nasal history. After undergoing a septoplasty elsewhere for chronic sinusitis, his nose gradually became significantly deviated and drooped, affecting both his nasal appearance and breathing.

His case was further complicated by previous treatment for basal cell carcinoma on the nose, which required a skin graft from the neck and left scar tissue across the nasal skin.

Dr Fas Arshad performed a complex revision rhinoplasty and functional reconstruction using Chris’ own rib cartilage to rebuild the internal framework of the nose. Rib cartilage is often used in advanced revision cases because it provides strong, reliable support when the nose needs to be rebuilt, straightened and stabilised.

The rib cartilage was carefully shaped and used to:

Today’s first case at Leeds Private Hospital: a complex open septorhinoplasty performed by Dr Fas Arshad FRCS (ORL-HNS), Consultant Facial Plastic Surgeon.

This patient had a significantly deviated septum, completely dislocated towards the left side of the nasal passage, causing major blockage and breathing difficulty.

During surgery, Dr Arshad released and repositioned the septum back into the midline to improve nasal airflow, while also refining the shape of the nose aesthetically.

A dorsal hump was reduced, the droopy tip was lifted and supported, and a septal extension graft was used to create long-term tip stability, definition and a soft supratip break.

✨ Just 6 weeks after surgery… and already such an incredible transformation.

She was told elsewhere that surgery may not be possible because she smoked.
