Summer time means I always have clients coming in saying their blondes have faded yellow, brunettes are red or orange in the sunlight. If you look at my hair here it looks almost copper toned. I haven’t had it coloured in a very long time. I know it needs a gloss but I won’t be putting one on until AFTER my holiday in July. Sun and salt water accelerate hair colour fading and are especially notorious for pulling out cool tones and turning hair brassy or warm. Even us hairstylists struggle with warmth in the summer months & this is normal!
