Today I spent the day with other Tropic Ambassadors at a Strive to Thrive training day. 💚

It wasn’t about skincare.

It was about mindset.

About believing in yourself, recognising the stories we tell ourselves, and understanding how our thoughts can either keep us stuck or help us move forward.

One of the questions we were asked was:

“What would you never have imagined yourself doing?”

It really made me stop and think.

A couple of years ago, I would never have imagined myself standing behind a stall, sharing a brand I’m passionate about, running skincare workshops, or walking into a room full of strangers to talk about Tropic.

Looking back, it’s not just my skincare knowledge that’s grown, it’s me.

Being part of Tropic has given me opportunities to step outside my comfort zone, meet some incredible people and challenge myself in ways I never expected.

We even finished the day with a lovely hand scrub demonstration, which was a nice reminder of why I love sharing Tropic with others.

Today’s biggest takeaway wasn’t about skincare. It was that growth starts with your mindset.

Here’s to continuing to learn, grow and keep saying yes to opportunities. 💚

Have you heard of the Yuka app? 📱

One of my favourite moments from today’s stall… 💚

A lady picked up a Tropic product and said to her friend, “I wonder how this fares on the Yuka app.”

That caught my attention because I use the Yuka app too, so I smiled and said, “Go on, give it a scan!”

She scanned a few products, then looked up and said, “The Yuka app is great!”

I use it myself from time to time. It rates food and cosmetic products, so I find it an interesting way to learn more about what I’m buying.

It was lovely to see someone using a tool they already trust to make up their own mind, rather than simply taking my word for it.

been reflecting on confidence.

Not confidence in meeting people. I’ve always enjoyed that.

More confidence in myself.

The confidence to put myself out there.
To stop second guessing everything.
To worry a little less about what other people think.

I’m not sure it’s something you ever completely master, but it’s definitely something I’m becoming more aware of.

Just a thought I’ve been sitting with recently. 💚

A humble beginning, a big heart and a lot of determination.

It’s a reminder that every big journey starts with a small step and a belief in something.

Somewhere between getting ready and having a quick (or not so quick) scroll on social media, I made a bit of a skincare boo-boo and left the house without moisturiser or SPF.

Interestingly, I didn’t even notice until I was outside because my skin didn’t feel dry or tight after cleansing. It was only when I realised I’d forgotten my SPF that I remembered I’d skipped moisturiser too! 🙈

For someone who wears SPF every day without fail, I genuinely can’t believe I’ve done this. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Now hiding under my hood until I get home! 😂☀️

It was lovely to spend the afternoon chatting with residents, visitors and introducing new people to Tropic, seeing a real meerkat and a skunk as you would! 😆

I also enjoyed meeting Claire from Living My Dream Creations. Claire creates beautiful balloon displays and event decorations, as well as offering glitter tattoo parties. ✨ It was lovely to learn more about her business, see some of her amazing creations and keep each other company between visitors.

I went to a calligraphy class for the first time today at Grace Joanna Designs ✍️

It’s something I’d been meaning to try for ages, so I finally made myself book onto a workshop.

I thought it might be therapeutic, and it really was.

For a couple of hours, I wasn’t thinking about work, housework or the endless to-do list. I was simply focused on putting pen to paper and learning something new.

A lovely reminder of the importance of making time for yourself every now and then.
