Say hello to “tortie” nails…..now if you don’t know what this is, it’s basically a really simple but effective way to create a “tortoise shell” design on the nails by layering them to give you depth to the design, that paired with a gorgeous chocolate brown and glitter brown is just “chefs kiss 😘” had a lot of fun doing these and I can only imagine doing different styles with This design is going to be fun

Every now and then I like to look back at my career from when I started doing nails 15+ years ago and it’s crazy to think that it started as a hobby, I would watch so many video tutorials on acrylic application but until it came down to doing my first set I had no idea how it was going to go….but like everything we take photos of our work (the good the bad and the ugly) and we post on Facebook and before I knew it I had bookings on an evening after my 9-5, that quickly turned into every night after work mon-Fri and all day Saturdays just as a hobby to earn a bit of extra cash, I was booked up for weeks in advance and that feeling is amazing 🤩, fast forward to 2017 and life happened I decided that was it now or never to go at it full time quit the 9-5 and do mobile nails full time, like everything else I was addicted to buying new colours, new products from different coloured diamontes, to little tiny fimo canes and then the big bulky 3d bows 🙈🙈🙈 I mean we all had them let’s not lie, before I knew it I had soooo much stuff that I decided to look for a salon to work from part time and do mobile part time….that worked and then I went into a salon full time until I had my eldest son Theo in 2020! Once you become a parent you quickly realise how much this tiny human depends on you to make the best life for them so I had to quickly sort my hours out which meant full time hours in part time days!! I have honestly been on the best journey with my career and I’m so thankful to everyone who has supported me over the years and still support me to this day. Without my work ethic and my effort no one else will turn up and do my job for me and my reasons why are my boys and family life. Every now and then i like to look back at how far i have come, the money I have invested in my education, qualifications, and career I would say I money well spent, because I get to do what I LOVE as my job and that feeling is PRICELESS!! Humbled and blessed is where I am right now and I am all for it. if anyone is looking to start doing nails and beauty my advice would be DO IT, it’s the best job in the world 😍😍😍
