Carel asked me if I was happy before Elixir.

The honest answer? I wasn't unhappy. I was good at my job. But I'd reached a point where I knew I'd hit my potential there, and something in me kept saying there had to be more.

The hard part was I didn't know what "more" looked like yet. I just knew I couldn't stay where I was and keep wondering.

That first picture you see, was a room share and was my first ever rented space.

I then moved to the second room which was my space so I was able to get a little bit of decor in to personalise my space. I was running CPD training 121 in that tiny room.
I got my keys and had a McDs lol! I said to my husband take a picture of little old me because one day I'll look back and see how far I've come. I was adamant I was going to make this work.

Then we moved to our current site where we have the entire floor and I've put my stamp on the entire space. I love green, can you tell??

Now we run both CPD and qualifications with VTCT and Focus Awards.

This was not an overnight journey and I'm so proud of what I've achieved. There's still more work to be done.. it doesn't end here..

You can't jump straight into Level 4 advanced skin treatments. And that includes medics too — being medically trained doesn't mean you can skip ahead.

Level 2 builds the basics of how to actually perform a facial — something medics never learned as part of their clinical training. Clinical knowledge doesn't cover hands-on skin treatment fundamentals. Everyone starts at Level 2, no exceptions.

Advanced treatments build on that foundation. Skip it, and Level 4 has nothing to stand on.

There are no shortcuts here — only foundations. Start at Level 2. Build it properly.
