Sacred Circles – A Breathwork & Mandala Workshop 🌿🌀

Everything in nature moves in cycles - our breath, the seasons, the moon, the tides, growth, decay and renewal.
But sometimes we can find ourselves caught in a loop. Old patterns of thinking, emotions or memories that keep resurfacing, even when we’re consciously ready to move on.

Through Conscious Connected Breathwork, we’ll journey into a deeper, trance-like state, creating space to move beyond the thinking mind and connect with the subconscious. A space to gently process what may feel unfinished, loosen old patterns and allow clarity and movement where things have felt stuck.

We’ll then bring the experience into creative expression through mandala making. The mandala, meaning “circle”, is a beautiful symbol of wholeness, balance and the cycles of life. Creating your own mandala allows you to integrate your experience intuitively, giving shape and colour to something you may have felt rather than understood.

You’ll take your mandala home as a visual reminder of your journey and whatever came into awareness for you.
And, of course, there’ll be some delicious homemade cake, time to land, and space to share if you feel called to. 🤍

Sunday 23rd August
10.30am – 12.30pm

Sometimes the simplest actions can be the most effective.

When life feels a little overwhelming, disconnected or unsettled, grounding doesn’t have to be complicated.

Here are 5 simple things you can try to gently bring yourself back into your body and into the present moment:

🌿 Eat something crunchy or sweet
Taste, texture and chewing give your senses something immediate to focus on. The act of eating can also remind your body that you are here, now, and safe enough to nourish yourself.
🤍 Squeeze your arms and body
Give yourself a gentle squeeze, hug or even a little pressure through your arms and legs. Feeling that physical contact can help you reconnect with your body and create a sense of containment.
🚿 Take a shower
Feel the water on your skin. Notice its temperature, the sound of it, the sensation as it moves over your body. It’s a beautiful way to shift your attention away from your thoughts and back into your senses.
🌍 Rub the soles of your bare feet on the ground
Slowly move your feet against the floor, grass or earth. Feel the texture, temperature and pressure beneath you. Notice the support of the ground holding you.
🌬️ Lie on your back and bring your awareness to your breath
Feel your body being supported by the ground beneath you. Notice the rise and fall of your breath without needing to change it. Simply breathe, feel and be.

You don’t need to do all five.
Sometimes one small moment of connection is enough to remind you:

I am here.
I am in my body.
I am supported.

What’s your favourite way to ground yourself?

This Tuesday evening at Space to Breathe is all about grounding as we connect with the element - Earth.

What if we don’t actually experience time the way we think we do?

Time is such a strange thing.
We measure it in seconds, minutes, hours, days, years…
but who decided that this is what time is?

And actually, time doesn’t even pass at exactly the same rate everywhere. Physics tells us that time can move differently depending on things like gravity and how fast we’re moving.

But perhaps even more interesting is how differently we experience it.
Five minutes waiting for something you don’t want to happen can feel like an eternity.

Five hours with someone you love can disappear in what feels like a moment.
When we’re busy, distracted, rushing from one thing to the next, time can feel like something chasing us.

But when we slow down… when we breathe… when we become completely present…

Something shifts.
We’re not changing the clock.
We’re changing our experience of time.
And maybe that’s where some of our freedom lies.
Because we can’t control how many hours are in a day.
But perhaps we have more choice than we realise about how we inhabit those hours.

So just for a moment…
Stop.
Take a breath.
Feel where you are.
And notice this moment.
Because this one isn’t coming back.
And perhaps that’s the real invitation,
not to find more time…
but to actually be here for the time we have. 🤍

Recently, I’ve been feeling pretty ungrounded.
Sometimes life throws things our way that are completely outside of our control, and it can ripple through every part of our being.

Our nervous system.
Our emotions.
Our thoughts.
Our bodies.
Our sense of safety and connection.

And sometimes we don’t even realise we’re ungrounded. We just know we don’t quite feel here.

So, what does it actually feel like to be ungrounded and how do we come back to a place of stability?

Over the next few days I’ll be sharing some simple grounding practices that you can try whenever you feel the need to come back to yourself.

And on Tuesday evening, we begin our 4-part Elemental Breathwork series, starting with EARTH.

A session centred around grounding, stability, roots, embodiment and feeling supported.

Come back to your body.
Come back to the earth.
Come back to yourself. 💚

The Four Elements Breathwork series 🍃🔥🌍💧at Space to Breathe Collective

This series is an invitation to journey through the elements, each one offering something different to explore within yourself. Through mindful movement, embodied awareness and conscious connected breathwork, we’ll connect with the wisdom of nature that’s already reflected within us.

🌍 Earth - Grounding, stability and feeling supported. A chance to slow down, reconnect with your body and create strong foundations.

💧 Water - Flow, emotion and release. Softening resistance, allowing feelings to move, and returning to ease.

🌬️ Air - Breath, clarity and expansion. Creating space in the mind, inviting fresh perspective and connecting with your life force.

🔥 Fire - Passion, courage and transformation. Awakening your inner spark, building confidence and letting go of what no longer serves you.

No experience is needed, just a willingness to arrive as you are.
I can’t wait to breathe, move and journey through the elements together. ✨

I can breathe again! Feeling super low energetically, emotionally stuck, physically stiff; I’m so grateful for the beautiful space Paula creates and holds at her home temple.

I had the Goddess massage which was rhythmic, gentle and flowing. It was exactly what I needed, and I left feeling revived and energised.

It’s so important for all of us, to fill our cups, to listen to our bodies when we need support, and to be held. Super grateful for this time yesterday, thank you Return_To_Her🥀 🤍✨🙏

If you are interested in bodywork, massage, or are curious about yoni massage, drop Paula a message. You are in safe hands 🙌

What is joy?

We often confuse joy with happiness, but I don’t think they’re quite the same thing.

Happiness can depend on what’s happening around us. It comes and goes with life’s circumstances. Joy feels different. To me, joy is the distilled essence of happiness in its purest form. It’s something we can connect to, even in the midst of life’s messiness.

Sometimes joy feels heady and exciting. It tingles through the body, expands the chest, fills us with radiant light and energy. Other times it’s quiet. A deep breath. A moment of complete presence. Looking up at the trees. Spinning in a misty field. Feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin. A genuine smile that arrives without effort.

When I really boil it down, joy is presence. Joy is love. It’s what remains when we’re fully here, without the constant noise of the mind pulling us into the past or the future.

So often we lose touch with that part of ourselves. We become busy, overwhelmed, disconnected from our bodies and caught up in thinking. We forget what it feels like just to be.

Breathwork gives us a way back.

Not because it creates joy, but because it helps strip away everything that’s been covering it up. As we breathe, we soften our defences, quiet the mind and reconnect with ourselves. Beneath all of that is something that has always been there.

Our capacity to feel. To love. To be fully alive.

To experience joy.

Next Tuesday at we’ll be breathing for joy.
If you’d like to join there’s still a couple of spaces ☺️✨
