Some of you may know, I had surgery this month for Bowel Cancer. Today I got the call, I’m cancer free!

I have been extremely lucky that the cancer was caught early and no further treatment is needed.
I am also very lucky that every single appointment l’ve had, has been with professional, kind and caring members of the NHS.

Nurses, Surgeons, GP,
Cleaners, Carers,
Caterers,
Physiotherapists, Secretaries and Admin.
All respectful and sincere.
Genders, race and religion of all kinds.
Gentle and nurturing.
Human beings, working their guts out to make me well.

Without the NHS, where would I have gone? Who would ve saved me?
Where would I be now without the people who work night and day, with little thanks?

I’ve been given the date of my operation.
MONDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER
This means my last day of work will be
SATURDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER
I’ll definitely be off
ALL OF OCTOBER AND THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF NOVEMBER

If you’re booked in for any date in September, please still attend your appointment, unless I contact you directly. If you need an appointment for September and not booked in due to the uncertainty around the dates of my operation, please feel free to contact me. However, I do have limited availability.

Once I have had surgery, I will get the results and see if I need any other treatment. Fingers crossed eh?! If all goes well, I can have those dates and times as promised. I’m telling you lot everything I can. I’ll bang another post up as soon as I know more.

For all your well wishes, love and offers of support, thank you. I appreciate every single one of you. Your genuine understanding has been so reassuring and refreshing. Love you guys! 🖤
