Stretching is essential throughout the entire lip procedure, regardless of which area you are working on.

I prefer to start on the bottom lip first. By the time you move onto the top lip, you can lean over the area if needed without worrying about disturbing your pre-draw, as the bottom lip has already been implanted.

The top lip is generally more challenging due to the shape of the vermilion border. Unlike the bottom lip, where you can work in a smoother curve, the top lip requires more precision as you navigate the peaks, curves, and contours of the border.

When working around the vermilion border, rather than stretching the skin away from the needle, I prefer to pinch and lift the lip and surrounding tissue up towards the needle. This gives me better control and allows me to maintain a more consistent implantation depth while keeping the skin taut.
