Most of you see the beautiful side of my job.
The glowing brides, the happy tears, the laughter during bridal prep, the gorgeous venues and the excitement of wedding mornings.
What you don’t always see is the PERSON BEHIND THE BRUSHES.
This past year has been the hardest year of my life. I’ve shown up tired, angry, heartbroken and carrying more than anyone could ever see.
There were mornings where getting out of bed felt like the biggest achievement of the day.
BUT I STILL SHOWED UP.
Because when a bride chooses me to be part of the most important morning of her life, she deserves every ounce of my energy, my calm and my love.
And, in truth, every single wedding morning healed a little piece of my own heart too.
My brides gave me purpose when I needed it most. They reminded me who I am when I felt like I’d forgotten.
So receiving this award means so much more than recognition for my work.
It represents resilience.
It represents choosing to keep going, even when life feels impossibly heavy.
It represents every early start, every smile I found when I didn’t feel like smiling, and every woman who trusted me with one of the biggest moments of her life.
To every bride who voted for me—thank you. I love you more than you’ll ever know. It has been the honour of my life to stand beside you, and so many of you have become friends I’ll cherish forever.
