Dakota Crafts

🌙 Good night everyone 😴❤️

I had every intention of getting a few things done after work this evening, but honestly… it just didn’t happen! 😂 It’s been a bit of a long day and sometimes you just have to listen to your body and call it a night.

There’s always tomorrow, isn’t there? 😊

I hope you’ve all had a good day, and if it hasn’t been the best one, I hope tonight gives you a chance to switch off, relax and recharge. Be kind to yourselves. ❤️

Sleep well everyone, and take care. 😴✨

📣 A BIG DAKOTA CRAFTS SHOUT-OUT! 📣

A massive THANK YOU to Doodle & Daisy Creative Studio for my lovely Dakota Crafts goodies! 🥰💕

Look at all this! 😍👇
📖 A gorgeous Dakota Crafts order book
💳 Beautiful business cards
🔗 Two QR code cards ready to go into my acrylic stands for my upcoming event
💌 And some adorable little thank-you notelets to pop in with orders!

Everything is so pretty and fits Dakota Crafts perfectly! 🥹💗

I absolutely love how it’s all come together — and those QR codes are going to make it so much easier for people at the event to find my website! 👀📱

Thank you so much Doodle & Daisy for helping me get event-ready! 🥰

Go and give them some love because small businesses supporting small businesses = ❤️
Doodle & Daisy — you’ve absolutely smashed it! 💕

👻 Well… this morning feels like the opening scene of a Halloween movie! 👻

Foggy. Mild. Eerily quiet.
Just waiting for something spooky to emerge from the mist… 😂🎃

And while I’m keeping an eye out for ghosts, I’ve somehow managed to give myself a ridiculously long to-do list! 🤣

I need to get my thinking cap on and start putting some ideas together for the centenary celebrations.

I also need to start thinking about the event I’m attending next month and, more importantly… what on earth I’m taking with me! 👀

But first… bauble production is officially underway! 🎄✨

I’m about to make a start on all the baubles that have been ordered, so my workspace is about to become a Christmas factory. 😂

Then there’s the rather large pile of admin waiting for me… including replying to all your lovely comments from the past week. ❤️

So, today’s agenda looks something like this:

🎄 Make baubles
💻 Catch up on admin
💬 Reply to your comments
🧠 Get those centenary ideas flowing
🎁 Work out what I’m taking to next month’s event
☕ Consume a slightly unreasonable amount of tea

What’s on YOUR agenda today? 👇

Are you organised and ready to tackle the day… or are you also just winging it and hoping for the best? 😂

🎄 Christmas is coming… might as well make the house look the part! 😂

☀️ Good morning!

Hope you all had a good weekend! Although, honestly… it went far too quickly for my liking! 😂

Saturday was a busy one. Dakota was off at a Beavers District Funday, while I was dismantling her wardrobe with the help of Mr Crafts and stripping even more wallpaper. Because apparently I enjoy making extra work for myself. 🤦‍♀️😂

Yesterday we headed to the garden centre. I came home with some lovely autumn plants… and Dakota came home with an elf.

Yes. An elf. 🤣

So, let me introduce you to Gary. 👋

That's right… Gary. 😂

He will now be moving in with us and joining his two elf buddies, Kringles and Sparkles.

And I dread to think about the chaos when Pickles and Snowflakes come to visit. 🤦‍♀️🤣

At this rate, I'm going to need a bigger house just to accommodate the elves! 🎄😂

Now I need to know… what are your elves called? 👀
And please tell me I'm not the only one with completely ridiculous elf names! 😂👇

Welcome to the chaos, Gary. 🎅

👑🚨 MINI BOSS FUND UPDATE! 🚨👑

Right… we need to have a little chat. 👀😂

The Mini Boss is waiting… 👑🤣

👀 Okay… these folders are getting a little too popular! 😂📁

The Slimming World folders have been selling really well, so I thought I’d add a little something extra…

🎁 Buy a Slimming World folder and get a FREE mystery gift!

Because apparently buying something useful wasn't enough… now you get a surprise too. 🤣

I’m keeping the free gift a mystery for now 🤫 but there are only a limited number available.

Once they’re gone, they’re gone!

📁 Slimming World folder
🎁 FREE mystery gift
✨ No extra charge

If you’ve been thinking about grabbing one, this might be your little nudge. 👀

Go on… give your food plans a fancy new home. 😂❤️

Happy Friday 😄

Trust me to buy the WRONG undercoat paint 🙈🤣

The guy in the shop was about as useful as a chocolate teapot, and even the painter & decorator in store wasn't much help either 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

You ever have one of those moments where you just think…

WHY?! HOW?! AND WHO LET ME BE IN CHARGE OF THIS?! 🤣

So I'll be trundling back round the corner on my lunch break to return it and get the RIGHT one.

Because apparently buying paint is now an extreme sport and I didn't realise I needed a degree in it. 😂🎨

Then there's the carpet… waiting on a new quote because somehow I've managed to talk Dakota into a cheaper one. 😆

At this rate, I think I'm just going to hide in a dark room somewhere and pretend decorating doesn't exist. 🤣

Anyway… enough of my decorating disaster diary!

It's the day job for me today, then back to the never-ending bedroom project. 🎨🫠

Tell me… what's the most ridiculous DIY mistake you've ever made? 👇😂
Please make me feel better and tell me I'm not the only one! 🤣

Happy Friday! ❤️

🍂❤️ HELLO OCTOBER! ❤️🍂

1st October already?!

Honestly… WHERE HAS THIS YEAR GONE?! 😭😂

It feels like we blinked and suddenly we’re heading into the final few months of the year.

And as crazy as it is, there’s something quite lovely about October too. 🍂
Cosy mornings, darker evenings, crisp air, little moments with the people we love… and that feeling that Christmas is slowly creeping closer. 🎄❤️

So today, before we get completely swept up in everything still to do, take a little moment to appreciate where you are right now.

✨ What’s ONE thing you’re grateful for as we head into October? ✨

It could be something huge… or something as simple as a hot cup of tea and five minutes of peace. ☕❤️

Let’s fill the comments with the little things that make life good. 👇
