Just finished work for the day after having visited with 3 lovely people all with varying degrees of Dementia or Alzheimers. Sometimes I find the "repetition" hard work but sometimes it actually makes the visits easier.
This video was part of my Dementia training when I first started with Home Instead, it was invaluable and something I think about often in my job... and it really does prove what Maya Angelou said:
"I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

๐ Whilst a warm bubble bath* will offer relief, self care is actually doing what's best for your mind, body and soul even, and ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ when it feels hard.
Self Care looks different for everyone but some top tips to start with if you're feeling overwhelmed are:

I picked this up from another fabulous rep! I usually use about a quarter of a bottle of bubble bath each time ๐ซฃ but she showed how just ONE CAP FULL produces more than enough bubbles! ๐ณ
A cap measures 15ml so in a 500ml bottle there's 33 baths costing JUST 6p a time! In a litre bottle there are 66 bath worths! That's JUST 4p a bath! Mind blown ๐ณ Doesn't take much I admit ๐ Nice little maths lesson for Frankie too ๐ 3 for ยฃ6 this month as well... making it even cheaper! ๐
