Four Korean sunscreens, one each for dryness, shine, redness and fine lines.
Dry skin that feels tight after cleansing: ISNTREE Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel Oily to combination skin that gets shiny: Medicube Zero Pore Moisture Sun Serum Reactive, sensitive and redness-prone skin: TOCOBO Cica Calming Sun Serum Fine lines you have started to notice: Mary&May CICA Soothing Sun Cream
All four are SPF50+ PA++++, so protection is not the thing that separates them. What does is the second job each one is doing while it sits there: hydration, pore control, calming, firmness.
So the question is not which sunscreen is best. It is which second job your skin needs.

Two rules will let you read almost any skincare label in about thirty seconds.
First, ingredients are listed from most to least by weight, so the first five are most of what is in the bottle. Second, below 1% the law lets brands list ingredients in any order, and nobody has to mark where that line falls.
One ingredient gives the line away. Phenoxyethanol, a common preservative, is capped at 1%, so on most skincare anything listed after it is at 1% or less. Colour pigments, marked CI, are the exception.
Low on the list is not the same as low value. Retinal has been trialled at 0.05% and 0.1%, and many peptides and antioxidants work at a fraction of a per cent. So read the end of the list as carefully as the start, especially if fragrance is what your skin reacts to.

If uneven tone is your main concern, tranexamic acid is worth adding, and twelve weeks beside daily SPF is the honest unit of time.
It works on the request for pigment rather than on the pigment already there. Sun, hormones and inflammation all send that request, and tranexamic acid interrupts it before any new pigment is made.
It is almost never sold on its own, and that is deliberate. Alpha-arbutin slows the enzyme that assembles pigment, and niacinamide limits how much of the finished pigment reaches the surface cells. Three actives, one pathway, layering instead of competing.
Two practical notes. This is for flat brown marks, not the red ones a spot leaves behind, because red is blood vessels rather than pigment. And pigment keeps being made while the trigger is live, which is why daily SPF is doing as much work here as the active is.
If your pigmentation is patterned, spreading or hormonal, that is a GP conversation rather than a shelf one.

If your skin is oily and reactive at the same time, this is the gap it is aimed at. The texture is what makes it go further: it sinks in fast enough that oily and combination skin get no film, and it has enough substance that dry skin will not want anything on top.
The 345 in the name is a count of what is inside: three calming botanicals, four barrier actives, five hydrating agents. The base is tea tree leaf water rather than plain water, Centella Asiatica and Madecassoside work on the redness, and Ceramide NP holds the barrier underneath. That does not make it a spot product: it is a daily moisturiser for reactive skin.
The PDRN is ferment-derived rather than the salmon form most K-beauty uses, which is what earns it a vegan badge. PDRN's clinical record was built on an injected, salmon-derived form, so a ferment-derived cream is judged on its own evidence.
In the edit for what the formula does, not for where it is from.

If you are new to vitamin A, start with retinol and give it twelve weeks. If you are already using one nightly, retinal is the thing to add rather than the thing to swap to.
Retinol and retinal are the same vitamin A arriving by different routes. Neither does anything until your skin converts it into retinoic acid: retinol takes two steps to get there, retinal one. That difference sets speed, irritation and who each one suits.
The strengths used in the research are worth knowing. Retinol has been trialled at 0.1% over twelve weeks, retinaldehyde at 0.05% and 0.1% twice a day for three months, both with visible change (Kwon, Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology 2018; Farris, JDD 2024).
And a practical one: Korean formulas print strength in parts per million rather than per cent. 1,000 ppm is 0.1%.
Both are evening-only, and both need SPF the next morning. The full comparison is linked in the first comment.

Most routines don't need another step. They need consistency in the steps that are already there.
September is when the urge to overhaul everything peaks, and it is usually aimed at the wrong thing. Three products used every night will do more for your skin than nine used when you remember, because the routine that works is the one that gets done. That is the least marketable advice in beauty and it is still the answer.
If something in your routine is not being used, the useful question is why. Does it sting, does it pill under SPF, does it take too long on a weekday morning. Those are all solvable. Buying a replacement for something you were never going to use is not.

Pigment first, texture second, dehydration whenever you like: post-summer patchiness is three different problems, and the useful part is knowing which order to deal with them in.
They look identical in a mirror, which is why September gets expensive. Pigment clears over months, texture over weeks and dehydration within days, so the slowest one is the one worth starting now. That timescale comes from StatPearls' entry on post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
There's a test in the images that takes one night and costs nothing. A richer moisturiser on damp skin, change nothing else, then look again in the morning in the same light. Softer and more even means dehydration. Unchanged and still rough means texture. Unchanged but smooth means pigment.
Whichever of the three you land on, daily SPF is what makes any of it hold.
